Disagree. He thrives on blitzing that doesn't get home and creates lots of open field to run. That was exactly what we tried to do last season and why we were terrible vs running QB's. You hold your gaps and keep his butt in the pocket. Then you change up your coverages and hope to force him off his initial read and try to throw into windows in coverage. Will he hit some. Yes, he is talented. Will he make good decisions and throw accurately consistently the entire game? I think that is much less likely. In the open field we got no chance of slowing him down. If we let him make hot reads and let them dictate his throws by passing when the down and distance is in their favor.... won't be good.

Realistically we only need the defense to get a couple of early stops against UF and hold them anywhere from 3 - 10 points in the first half.....definitely won't be easy but I think we can do it. If we do that then I'm confident that our offense can put up 21 - 28 points in in the half and UF will have to mostly change their game plan. A strong performance by the front 6 and a combination of nickel/safety will be crucial in the first half. If we can make them play from behind then we mostly negate their strength.

Our OL worries me, though. They probably won't open a lot of running lanes and will give up some sacks but we have the QB and WRs to still do damage and Hendon running effectively and avoiding big hits is going to be another key.

We will know a lot more after Pitt....if we can't get some yards on the ground and give up sacks then that doesn't bode well against UF. I still think we win by 10 or 13. Our defense should be faster and stronger than Utah's and Richardson has yet to have multiple consistent performances in college. Napier is coaching smart by letting him be the aggressor but it won't last when they play fast and physical defenses.

Worst nightmare is to lose a loved one. Close second is to be an innocent but assumed culprit.
Yep, guilty or no they always look at the spouse.. I tell my spouse that is why we better watch put for each other lol.. and I know people have the right to jog at 4:30 am in Memphis lol.. but it was dangerous when my family lived there almost 50 years ago lol.. I don’t even get up that early. or jog. but I wouldn’t be doing it especially in Memphis if I did.. someone knew her routine and planned it I bet, easy to blame it on random criminals

UF had little run defense against Utah. It'll be interesting to see what UT's OL can do as the scheme spreads that UF defense out.

Reports are that UT has put a lot of scheme and training into defending against QB running lanes. Hoping that is watershed in games like the upcoming UF game.

This may be bold but...

Only UGA and Bama have a prayer against our offense.

All the love AR is getting today, people are ignoring Utah should have won that game, but made several bad decisions to give the W to Florida. Florida was not dominant.
I still do not understand why he is getting so much love. He had 168 yards passing and 106 yards on the ground. What is so great about that? A good defense is going to make him one dimensional and will make him look pedestrian.

So we've been watching Picard on the Smart Tv we got post-TV smash/fall. A friend of my parents (also a huge Vol fan bc that's just who we are) had an extra Smart TV he wasn't using so we were not only able to watch the Vols play but we've been able to hook up services like Prime and Disney+. We've been watching a lot of his shows on the big screen which has been just a wonderful experience (I really didn't expect to enjoy this so much as before I rarely watched tv if it wasn't a Vol sporting event but I am absolutely loving all the things you can do with a Smart TV).

Last night, we started watching Picard and had a blast. We met when DS9 was in its final season and at that time the tv I had in my apartment picked up a station that broadcast the show a day before the Knoxville station did so we would all pile in and watch the show a day early. It brought back a lot of happy memories but one thing it did that surprised me is that it helped him cognitively. He struggles when his levels are off, especially with finding the right words for what he means to say, and not only have his levels been off but he's had that recent bout with pneumonia that he is still getting over but watching Picard suddenly the things that illness had blocked off in his brain were unlocked and he was back 100 percent instead of 95 or less (and usually 95 percent is something that is good enough to make me happy).

To put it into perspective, he'd awoken that morning thinking relatives who are long gone were still with us and downstairs and that construction was going on (it wasn't). But watching Picard, he's suddenly accessing memories and knowledge that he hasn't been able to access regularly since this illness began. It was genuinely just a really joy filled experience that I never would've expected from something as simple as watching a TV show.

At any rate, I don't always have happy updates with everything going on so I thought I would share some positive/happy news with everyone. :D

I hope they come into Neyland overconfident. It'll make smacking them down so much more enjoyable.

I didn’t get to watch the game, but I’ve now seen some highlights. I can see why Utah lost. Ooof. They both fell for the pump fake so bad they couldn’t even make the tackle 😂

It will be interesting to see how well Napier has installed his culture. Florida's problem in recent years is that they get extremely cocky after wins like Saturday's, but can't take a punch in the mouth. It's usually Georgia that knocks their block off and sends them into a spiral. I really, really want that to be the role Tennessee plays this year.

My wife just informed me girl is friends with a close friend of ours.

Mentioned one of the husbands (new or ex) who apparently was a Fentanyl habit. That this Abston fellow, who's in custody - was a seller, hence why he and his cousin/brother of same last name were both arrested.

Rumor is that this Abston cleaned blood out his vehicle at some point. Again, its a rumor and I hope it isnt true.

Also, Abston was indicted formerly on aggravated kidnapping, of which he served minimum and was released?

This is all heresay.

So why kidnap the wife/ex-wife? Revenge on the husband/ex or an attempt to get him to pay? Anyone know?

I hope this holds up, but I think you’re underestimating our line.

I do worry about corner play though. I want to believe #4 is going to start justifying his playing time, but I don’t have a lot of confidence. I remember one play in particular—Ball State hit a deep pass across the middle and he ran down the sidelines and followed his man out of bounds. His back was turned to the play, and it’s like he had no idea it was happening behind him. He could be the best athlete on the team, but his field awareness is lacking so far. Not to mention the weird missed Int opportunity.

Every year we overreact to week one. Remember how good we were going to be after dominating NC State? Maybe Florida is full of false confidence?
