It’s incredibly hard for some folks to try and be positive.. I get it though, but come on! They look better prepared and with more depth than we’ve seen in awhile.. I really wouldn’t count them out of anything yet Lol

There was a big uproar about it a few years ago because it's not the nicest song. But it's a song about LSU that LSU fans sing all the time in their stadium. Almost like if UF best us then played Rocky Top.

I just can’t laugh at teams that are having a rough time. Mainly because of our decade + of misery and despair in the bleak kiffin/dooley/butch/pruitt debacle.

All that I can think now is, But for the grace of God, that could be us (still)

Exclusion is if it happens to one of our rivals or a team that I truly dislike (looking at you longhorns)

And Sooners for me. I really wish Lincoln had stuck around because he had a soft, cocky team (there’s a hanging curveball). Venables may actually be a good head coach, but I’ll keep my fingers crossed.

The curse has been lifted on Vol football after 21 long years!! Thanks, Brian Kelly! It has now gone back to LSU. This will be the year and decade of the Vols now!

The curse needed a sacrifice, and Verse was it. It was a worthwhile trade off.

I don't know man, I enjoy working with my boy on his school stuff. He recently had a project to recreate the room that Harriet Jacobs lived in, to scale, for a book he's reading. I'd never heard of her. She was a slave. She hid in a tiny attic room for 7 years I believe. I learned something. I enjoy the conversations that go with the projects.

I enjoyed working on this with him too but the project format is definitely skewed towards children who have parents at home that care about education. If assigned, in my opinion, there should be alternate options and time allowed in class to work on it for those kids who don't have the guidance at home.

So many hot takes from the talking heads after week 1 of CFB has almost wrapped. It’s mind boggling how some of these idiots fail to realize hindsight being 20/20 or how they use preseason rankings to justify their ratings on a teams performance. Finebaum was giving Brian Kelly up the road for not going for 2 and having extra point blocked. Conversion rate on extra point is much higher than 2 point conversion. Then the cast on Get Up was trying to pencil in UGA to playoffs for their beat down of Oregon simply because they were highly rated in preseason.

I used to love watching Sports Center as a kid, but pretty much every talking head is infuriating to listen to, imo.

It pains me deeply to say this but you can pencil in UGA for a playoff spot. Look at their schedule and tell me who they lose to in the regular season. Was Oregon overrated, absolutely but they are still a 8 win team and UGA simply curb stomped them. Unfortunately it looks like Smart wised up and has shifted to a modern offense.

Like our chances more now with LSU after watching the game... I will still say last season we stunk against running QB's and FL and LSU's are legit... we will need to contain and not get out of position if we don't want them gashing us all night.

That game last night reminded me of the 2016 opener between Texas and Notre Dame, also on a Sunday night of Labor Day weekend. Two big brand programs that played a competitive and exciting game that went down to the final play.

Turned out as the season went on that both teams just sucked. Brian Kelly was the losing coach in both and like Jay Norvell, Charlie Strong was entering his third year on the hot seat.

I’ve seen lots of other college bands play Neck. The Pride has even played a variation of it in the past. LSU banned it because their fans (students) made it NSFW.

Funny story. I was at the LSU-Auburn game last year and Auburn’s band played neck and the LSU student section took over and did their famous vulgar chant.

This 2022 team will be competitive at the very least. I’m thrilled with that. I was dreading the beginning of last year and believed it would take 4/5 years before we could field a decent team. Heupel has done an unreal job getting the right pieces in place in a short time and dealing with the roster he inherited.
