We are so incredibly due for a surprise "ahead of schedule" season. A season where most of the breaks go our way and we get some outstanding performances from a few key players. Seems like so many teams have been blessed with those seasons during our down period but not us. We either underachieve or blandly meet expectations. And if we do overachieve, it's by one game and means we go 6-6 instead of 5-7 or something.

You could argue that last season was overachieving but I want to see it happen on a level that makes us nationally relevant.

When Nashville finally builds their new Dome Stadium we need a Nashville Kickoff game for CFB “Music City Kickoff Classic”. Would bring alot of revenue to the City/State

This is the whole plan behind the new Titans stadium that’s being proposed. The plans right now are keeping the stadium on the east bank of the river but also redeveloping that whole area with businesses, restaurants, etc outside of the stadium area. It’s going to cost a ton but they really want to set it up so that they can host Superbowls, CFB playoffs, March Madness, concerts and more so that they can bring more to the city.

So many people here in Nashville hate it, but I think it's a worthy investment and is in line with the cities trajectory as one or the most important cities in the country.

We’ve been waiting for this season for:

There will always be the old guard around Nashville that doesn’t want it to change, and stop growing, but this would be big for so many small, medium and large businesses in the city. This train ain’t slowing down so may as well just add more steam.

Nashville Vols won’t like this, but I’m against it. Save it for a major bowl game. Neutral site games have ruined college football. I get it that it brings fans together for one game without the home and home commitment. I want to see more games at Neyland and the Vols playing marquee opponents on the road. That’s what makes college football so special.

Jonathan Wade on the VolQuest Sunday show:
- saw energy and fight in team
- on Burrell - got picked on end of last year, was clearly targeted first game too. His challenge, when you become the guy that the other teams want to pick on, you can do 1 of 2 things - become a liability or play yourself into the guy where teams can't throw it your way. It's all on player to step up.
- challenge of playing CB in SEC - mentally you have to clear every week, physically your opponents are huge.
- Burrell did respond well as Thursday's game went on
- what to like in Burrell's game? - measurables look great, attitude to fight, just has to make that one good play and it could all click
- Hadden was impressive, thinks big things in his future
- Pitt going to look to take advantage of the middle of the field this week. Puts a lot of pressure on the safeties, linebackers
- Vols will have to find a way to generate pressure
- DL didn't throw anything fancy or exotic at Ball St, hope they have something in store for Pitt
