I agree, but nil money probably also played a part. In guessing he went to the highest bidder as much as he went to the biggest brand name.

He also had a guaranteed spot at FSU with Jermaine Johnson going into the draft….. not saying he wouldn’t have won the job but we had both starters returning.

Come on, McGill. People have every right to bitch about recruiting whether they give or not. You can support your team without giving money to Spyre. I personally hope that a lot of folks choose to give, but I also think that the fans have been asked to pay more and more and more every year and coaches salaries just keep on going up. I get it. We have to keep up and even stay ahead, but I don't like the direction all of this is going.

I don't like it either...you guys know how bad I hate all of this moneygrubbing ...but I disagree with you on one thing, if you refuse to do what it takes to help the cause, then don't bitch about recruiting not going well because we can not afford great talent.

It is f'n ridiculous for people that refuse to help, to then gripe when our coaches can't sign elite talent...I honestly don't understand how you can even debate that.

It is different if you just CAN'T help, but you should still understand why recruiting elite players is tough with little money.

All I am saying is you can't have it both ways.

We haven’t beaten a Top 10 team since 2006
We haven’t won 10 games since 2007.
until we start knocking down those road closures the national perception will have the Vols as a 2nd class program
