I haven't said much about recruiting this year, but I will say now....I love this class and I don't give a runny 💩 what it is ranked. We have some very very impressive young MEN committed. I love the approach our staff seems to be taking in the kind of student athletes they pursue.

I do hope we could get a couple more biguns on the DL and OL, but I really believe we have the DL and OL coaches that will get really solid to great play out of whoever they get.

Great job so far.

With the Matthews commitment today, I think recruiting might slow down. Not necessarily a bad thing, just makes for boredom. We need to flip some kids that are committed elsewhere. And I think most of the uncommitted guys will be about setting up visits and committing later.

Time for patience. But I suck at being patient.

Like I said previously, still need OL and DL. Once those are addressed, I'll be very happy with this class. It's coming together rather nicely.
Dude it's not like the SEC is a line of scrimmage league...😁

But in all honestly yeah we need more big uglies, but this offense at least can scheme around some of it. And our elite pass rushing hauls could potentially offset the lack of interior studs. Looking at the silver linings and all, but yeah they sure would be nice ways to fill out the class.

Now is the time for a "who's next" thread. I don't think we're in on anyone currently with a set announce date. I'm not even sure who we're really in on.
We ain't taking flyers or randos at this point. Too much momentum and we're going to kill it on the field...then position ourselves for late flips and late commits from some studs. And ofc some strong transfers...this time we'll actually be able to take them right away, not have to wait 4 months.

Patience is key rn imo. We already have a very very solid 21-commit base. Absolutely no reason to rush things. Hold space for when FSU and a couple others implode. Hold back some NIL reserves for a late push.

We'll be sitting pretty on NSD looking at all those chump teams driving VW Jettas while we hit our s2000 NOS button like

All I want for Christmas is a 5* middle linebacker.

Very happy with the class. Need OL and would love to have a 3-4 year starting middle to cap it off.
How do Jalen Smith and Telander project? Are they MLB or OLB types? Or I guess we only use 2 LBs...whatever you call those. Mike and Will? Whatever the terms are.

I'd love to add one more ILB to this class. Wonder if we might try to flip someone like Tony Rojas if PSU struggles this season?

The upside (or silver lining for us) is the "in the box linebacker" position is slowly fading off, as far as importance goes. It began once FBs started dying off and some now consider it the least valuable position between offense and defense.

Really need one that can cover slants as much as anything these days. A different type of MLB for sure.

Yea i agree. I hope we get a some studs o-tackles & d-tackles by December. Need to win at least 8 regular season games

I'd still like to see us get another TE as well. I think this is Fant's last year of eligibility, and Warren could leave as well if he has a good season. But that might be a position we take a chance and portal shop for.

Pat Summitt's father had it worse. His name was Richard Head. No joke.

Knew a guy named Richard Head, funny thing about that is that he named his first son Albuquerque Cosper Head. Everytime he tried calling my sister I asked who's calling and he would say his name and I would always laugh and say for real who is this.
