Blows my mind that the 49ers refuse to lean on Jennings. Everytime he's in there, targeted, whatever, good things happen.
I think right now Purdy's instructions are to not do too much. Get it to Kittle, Deebo, Mccaffery, Mitchell, Aiyuk. I think JJ is an essential person in downfield blocking.

But I also wouldnt be surprised if the game plan/script manufactures touches for him out of the blue in the next game (or two) because the opponents certainly wouldn't expect it.

Still think your target number difference would be minimal. Hill/Waddle dominate targets.
That's because of Tua. I don't think tua is there much longer. Gesicki (who is 3rd) has been very unhappy in Miami due to tua's inability to locate him. Skylar Thompson spread it around better. And no I'm not saying Skylar is the answer.

In the moment this seemed like a huge miss… now UGA has lost AD Mitchell and a backfill for him in the roster is now looking not so hot. Glad we got Thornton.
Almost seems like we should just trust who the coaches think is the best fit? Who would’ve thought!

(This is not directed at you, I just remember people being very critical of the staff for who they were passing on in the portal).

I'll never understand how SF can get the #1 defense, close to the #1 OL, top 3 TE, top 5 RB, arguably top 5 WR. Are their coaches just that good, or is it their GM? No wonder Purdy is looking so good.
Beauty of good GM work, talent evaluation, roster development, etc. Like what the Titans new GM said in his opening press conference (he came from SF), "build a team, don't just stack talent." Complimentary football players. JJ isn't a #1 WR, but he's essential as a downfield blocker and making the catch when he's needed. Team player. They've had Kittle since day 1 I believe. Drafted Deebo and Aiyuk. Raheem Mostert broke out in SF before they traded him. They drafted and developed Emmanuel Moseley who is now one of the best CBs in the NFL. The one thing they were missing this year was that star RB so they traded for CM and he's been incredible for them. Complimentary to Mitchell and takes some pressure off Deebo.

I mean look at their offense role people. Each one of them does something different: Speedster- Aiyuk, possession/blocking - JJ, swiss army knife - Deebo, pass-catching TE- Kittle, fullback - Juszczyk, 1-2 punch of APB and RB - McCaffery and Mitchell, and I'm sure they've got some blocking TEs in there.

They are one in the same. Both are terrible and I mean terrible losses.
Losing to Kentucky is not the same as losing to Temple. In no universe is it the same. And UK is at least, right now, a tournament team.

And my point is that it's basketball, and almost every team has an outlier loss. It's not a big deal. If you don't understand that, you don't understand basketball.

That’s pretty bad. You’d much rather lose to Kentucky. I don’t think we’re done with jaw-dropping losses with this team though. They just feel…. weird. Metrics say this is the best Tennessee team in 20 years but 2018/2019 beats this team. Wouldn’t you love to see👇🏻 squad square up against this one?

Wouldn't that be a fun matchup!? Uros vs Grant? Zakai vs Bone? Bowden vs Santi? Key vs Lamonte? JJJ vs Admiral? Then throw in other matchups like Phillips, Pons, Fulky, ON, Aidoo etc.

They traded for McCaffrey because Carolina is rebuilding. Just the team that got him. They drafted Samuel, Kittle, and Aiuyuk. They started the year very average and went on a run.

That game was there for the taking. Dallas defense is very good. Dak didn’t play well.
I never imagined Dak would regress into an average QB. Thought he was better. It doesn’t help that the offense is vanilla. I can predict 90% of their plays

Still a terrible loss or outlier. Thanks for saying the same thing over.

You are right. Temple has more wins over top 25 teams than Kentucky does.

An outlier does not necessarily equal a terrible loss. It's a loss. Clearly you don't understand how basketball works. A quandrant 2 loss is not a "terrible" loss.

Kentucky is 39th in the NET (Q2)
Temple is 126th in the NET (Q3)

Temple also lost to Vanderbilt and Ole Miss. "One in the same" my a$$.

Not sure why you're so dedicated to believing the Vols are bad and losing to Kentucky (we average 1 loss to UK every season for the last 10 years) is a mark of death.

Everyone and their mother at the organization has openly committed to Tua for next year, but I hope they explore options still. I don’t think Gesicki was a Tua problem as much as McDaniel has stated that the play calls neglect the TEs and that he needed to be better at that. Gesicki was also a bit of a square peg in a round hole situation in this scheme, he’s a terrible blocker. His snap share dropped from last year to this year. If he was an all around TE instead of a WR in a TE body he’d have been much more useful.

Sherfield would be the role that you’d see Jennings slot in if he came to MIA.

Probably doesn't miss a game.
Kirby learned everything from Saban, takes pages from his book all the time.

Remember when the two Bama players got caught in Louisiana with weed and a gun in the car, and the DA dismissed it, famously adding: "I want to emphasize once again that the main reason I'm doing this is that I refuse to ruin the lives of two young men who have spent their adolescence and teenage years, working and sweating, while we were all in the air conditioning."

Kirby gonna work his Saban-isms and get it dropped or "handled internally"
