This is ultimately the problem. Holly I felt bad for, she's replacing not only the greatest women's coach of all time but stepping in for a beloved friend and mentor.

But the product Holly put out there just declined once Pat's players were gone. And KJH seems to be a worse recruiter who isn't capable of developing talent. The disappointing part is she doesn't even appear to be good with Xs & Os. I don't really know what the fix is, I think she can consistently win 20 or more games here and make the tournament, but who knows if she can win a title here or even make a Final Four.
Holly accepted a tough assignment. I think we need to look outside of our alumni for the next coach when that time comes. With the history, facilities, and potential fan support, we should be able to recruit much better.

I've been reading a lot lately about how historical our defense is this year. I decided to put together a list of our defensive performances (in-conference only) and compare them to our SEC Brethren. We are far and away the best. Below is a Google Sheet that I put together to track it. There are two charts that show how impressive our performances have been so far. The first is sequential and the second is normalizing from each teams best performance to their worst performance.

Got some news today that shook me a bit. My son, who is 40, has to have a heart procedure. His doctor said he presents with paroxysmal SVT that is quite symptomatic. It's my understanding they're gonna do a catheter ablation procedure and it's successful in 95% of patients. I'm praying that he's in the 95% group.

His doctor is a cardiac electrophysiologist and I'm praying that he's a good one. They're trying to get him set for the procedure as quickly as possible. I'll be heading to New Hampshire as soon as he gives me the date for the procedure. Here's hoping everything turns out OK.

Prayers for you and your family!

I work in a cardiology office but not in EP and know they do these types of procedures regularly. Try not to worry too much. Hope that it is successful!

Definitely not solo in your opinion. I’ve seen this scenario way too often in my professional career. Mercenaries that job hop simply to chase a couple more dollars, manipulate a situation to their favor, etc. Every one that I have ever dealt with caused issues within an otherwise cohesive department.

I hired these ppl out of necessity because of low staffing issues, but I’ll never hire one again unless I have absolutely no choice again.

They have zero loyalty to the company or their co-workers…only look out for themselves and try to stir up sh1t and try to manipulate their way into whatever position they may desire.

Every one either left to chase another dollar or they were let go after I gave them enough rope to hang themselves.

So I completely agree…we want VFL’s, not rental mercenaries.
some companys absolutely deserve it too

Not sure how my reply was me being mad. I am engaged in your discussion just seems circular when you don't even care about the topic as you already admitted yourself.

My last point was poor attendance for the 2 NCAA tournament games that TBA hosted neither were Sweet 16 games. It's not completely KJH's fault, Holly steered the ship into the wall...KJH just hasn't been able to change the direction (yet).
I do think if the team managed to make a run to a Final Four she'd cool a lot of the doubters and help extend her tenure here.

Misunderstood your tone, that’s my b.

Besides the big 3, I don’t follow other UT sports closely. Always curious to see how fans (who do) view those programs and their leadership and how/why they formed those opinions.

I mean Pat Summit is the most dominant coach in UT history since Neyland. So anyone stepping in to coach that program the expectation is win titles.

Men’s basketball has just 1 Elite Eight in program history.
Football hasn’t won a title since ‘98
Baseball has never won a title and haven’t played for one since 1951

So really the Lady Vols basketball program has a fanbase used to winning and expecting it.

Looks good! Do they have a brick and mortar store or is it a food truck they set up. I've heard about it but don't know where to go.

411 Elm Street.

YOU GO OUT ROUTE 22

PAST WAYNESBOROUGH

MEDVILLE, THORNDYKE, UPSON...

...THROUGH VIRGINIA,
PENNSYLVANIA, OHIO...

THEN BACK THROUGH
WEST VIRGINIA

KENTUCKY, TENNESSEE,
INTO MAYBERRY ON ROUTE 10.

TO ELM STREET.

4-1-1 ELM STREET.

I don’t necessarily disagree. So do you think we should rotate coaches every 4 years if they’re reaching Sweet 16?

Also to that point, Tennessee has the resources to do in every sport. But are we holding women’s bball to a higher standard bc it’s done before? Is that the thought?

Again I don’t follow women’s bball that closely. Genuinely curious how fans who do follow it closely view it’s successes/failures on its own and compared to other UT sports.

If you have the tools to be the best, and consistently fall short, that's underperforming. The stated goal of the AD is to win championships, the program has won championships, and has every tool to do so now. I don't think its unreasonable to expect to be in the discussion for championships. They aren't.
