From what I’ve been told this afternoon, it doesn’t sound like Igbinosun will be picking Tennessee. Can’t say for sure that it’s going to be Ohio State, but that’s what I’ve heard so far, so I would say the Buckeyes are the favorites.

We struggle with portal recruiting. We don't suck at it, but we don't seem to be able to close on highly sought after players. Last year it was Verse. This year, it's Igbinosun. We can fill needs with adequate players, but when it comes to the portal, the big names seem to be just out of our reach. The possible exception being WR. But we could probably turn our waterboy into a stud WR. That's just how good Heupel is at offense.

I’m going to be honest with you I’m ****ing ecstatic that Igbinosun isn’t coming here. Kid seems to be a cancer and he has pissed me off enough that I don’t give a flying **** where he goes.

We have an issue with speed on defense. we upgraded.

On the whole I agree with you. Also think we struggle with the upper echelon rakroots.

Been some disappointment. Verse, Neyor, Gibbs, Evans, and possibly Igbosun of the top of my head.

Tbf, most of those were last year before we'd proven ourselves as a program. I think this guy is the only one who has come close then backed out this year. Maybe money related. But important not to let such a small sample size influence conclusions on that. We still got some good transfers last year like Bru. Got some good transfers this year that seems the staff really targeted and Thornton was wanted by everyone.

I wouldn't call him a cancer simply because he's shopped himself around. This is what the game has become. Wherever he ends up, he may 100% buy in and do just fine. I wish it was Tennessee because we need the help, and I think he's a good CB, something we sorely lacked this past season.

We filled needs, but we have trouble with the big names. Like I said, the exception might be WR. We seem hesitant to pursue the big playmakers to begin with, but then to strikeout on the ones we do pursue sucks.

Don’t get me wrong I’d be happy to add his talent to our db room but not at the cost of messing up the culture. It was odd that he basically said yes to us but then wanted to go see what other universities were willing to offer. I’d say after visiting 3 more universities the NIL value is up to a level that we are not willing to commit to. We’ll see what happens
