I'm all for doing it the right way. Every school and every coach should strive for such. But it also has to lead to success on the field and playing for championships. I'm not saying every year, but never winning a championship is not my idea of success. Success is being in the running for a conference championship and the potential of a national championship. Again, not necessarily every year, but more times than not.

Wait so the goal is to win championships? I wonder if the staff knows this. Buncha posers only went 11-2

Wondering when we'll see the TE coaching hire? The longer it draws out, the more I think Heupel simply promotes Abeln.

Pretty holly is finished I’d probably say

Losing to LSU on the road isn't the end all. Lady Vols are going to lose to South Carolina as well most likely, now if KJH wants to stay here longer that has to be the only other game they lose...

It's disappointing to have a Men's team that's elite defensively and then have the Lady Vols just be so bad at it.

Not to beat a dead horse, but I will, she whiffed on the entire recruiting class. I think next year could be quite disastrous. So, do you make the change now, or do you let the program take a major hit next year and then make a change?

Would you be pissed if I started looking for a job and they offered me a crazy amount of money at a different company and I took that opportunity instead eve if it was last minute? It's a business and the second you think of it like business then all decisions make sense moving forward.
So that actually happened to me. I’d made a commitment to myself to meet an internal goal and hadn’t done that yet. I stayed. A year later, goal accomplished, another opportunity, and I was able to help the current employer - all’s well that ends well. I‘ve lived my life, personally and professionally, believing that you treat folks the way you want to be treated. It’s working out for me so far.

To each his own.

Yes, because you know what I was saying and then tried to intentionally misrepresent it. 11-2 is great. I loved it. But it still needs to eventually lead to a championship.
Of course the goal is to win championships. You act like just because someone says doing things the right way means that can’t happen or is unlikely to. I took the doing things the right way to mean the goal is to continue building and getting better instead of doing the flash Pruitt or Butch to appear like you have what you need when you really don’t. I want to build like we did in the 90s.

Let’s not hope 1998 turns into the new 1980 joke. Multiple schools in the SEC have won a National Championship since and even multiple for Bama, Georgia, LSU, Florida.

You totally ignored my original statement. Go back and read it again. Notice where I said every school and coach should strive to do it the right way. But it has to lead to championships, not Mark Richt.

Thankfully not my decision to make...but DW is in a tough spot. Football, Baseball, and Men's Basketball are all rolling and this place has big time support for the Lady Vols as well so they don't want to be left behind either.

UT tried to help Igbinosun get in school to play spring ball and earn a starting spot, which he said he wanted. UT doesn't guarantee a starting spot to anyone. Some players simply overestimate their value. I wouldn't worry about this one. At all.

So he puts himself on a peddle stool. Recruiting information should always be taken with a grade of slaw until the ink is dry. We probably dodged a bullet by the coaches being cautious with the transfer portal.

No, I actually went back and read it again. It came off as doing it the right way is not going to work because that means you don’t have a goal of winning championships. Maybe it’s just because I have read that several times on here. Even read some that said that absolutely won’t work. But if we only get a Mark Richt for about ten years while chasing championships, I will certainly enjoy not having a Dooley, Butch, Pruitt or Lane.

It’s not the end all. Although more so of a buildup of things. People are yelling louder and louder as SCjr, LSU pass UT. It’s almost like watching downfall of the football program. DW can’t ignore it forever as he touts a “championship culture” when that program certainly isn’t sniffing a championship anytime soon. But they get good grades and help in the community! Well that’s nice but there’s a problem with that, they’re not winning. You want a great community service programs and good grades go to Vanderbilt or a Big 10 school. Looking at next year and yikes. Lol. Might as wel cut bait now and try to let the new coach save next year and try to make it to a tournament

Kellie missed on 9 targets in the 23’ class lol. She’s cooked. That’s what got her fired from NC State. Terrible recruiting. NC State now is a Power in the ACC under Moore who replaced her. Time to move on. Have a feeling DW will eventually see it as well if he hasn’t seen the obvious already

End of the day, as long as the secondary plays better next year, none of this matters. Obviously, they saw it was a weakness. They've attempted to address it. Whether the improvement comes from guys already there, or from freshmen, or players added after Spring (if that happens), as long as there is improvement, that's all that matters. If we don't see improvement, then we have a problem.
Pretty much.

If the secondary underperforms again - this will be scrutinized even more.
If the secondary plays better next year - who cares.

I hope the secondary plays better.
