No one should want to see the Lady Vols lose to force a change. I certainly want them to win every game. However, I've seen enough to know how this turns out.

It they don't make the tournament, I don't know how they can ignore it. I know it's a tough schedule but Lady VOLS have been to tournaments whether AIAW or NCAA since 1977.

I love Coach Barnes, love what he's done for TN basketball. I can see both sides though. If you're OK with being guaranteed a ticket to March madness and you don't care if it's 1,2,3 round loss, then you'll be happy. Nothing wrong with that. History has proven that that's what your going to get with Coach Barnes. Once you get to that level though, it's human nature to want more. It will be that way in football if Coach Heupel continues to put 8,9,10 win seasons but doesn't get over the top. I'm 100% happy with Barnes, have been since day one of his hire. But I realize we'll be lucky to get to the round of 8. I'm ok with that.

Right. And if it were merely a ticket I'd feel much different.

But we've had some ELITE regular seasons. That changes everything for me. Ya know...those 30+ games a year. Some would throw those 30 away for just 1 or 2 more in March

This team is what it always was...a very good team with flaws. They play hard elite defense and they deserve respect for it. Defense is pure "want to"...so they have "want to" in spades and I appreciate that.

Perfect. On the inverse, I absolutely can't stand know-nothings acting like offense is based on "want-to". I mean...maybe if you're Shaq. For the other 99.9% it's anything but. And typically trying too hard only makes it worse.

I hope she turns it around but my confidence level is approaching zero. I agree missing the tournament will take it to a low they haven't seen in a minute. With men's sports it usually a financial decision- do you stand to lose more $$ than it cost to keep them. I'm sure since it's a non-revenue sport, maybe you can hold on longer.

There is such thing as progress and inflection points and eventual breakthroughs. Look at UGA 2017-2020...but hey they shoulda fired Kirby...
