And? Does this negate what I said lol? There's at least 4 olympians competing at the college level right now, including all-around gold Sunni Lee at Auburn.

But will she be in the next Olympics? She very well might be because she is that talented, but most Olympians are young girls who have dedicated their lives and every waking hour to the sport. Then they retire from the national stage and go to college. My only point was that most are no longer Olympians. They're former Olympians.

And, it's not about being a smartass, it's about painting an accurate picture. In college, most of these young women aren't even close to competing at the level they were when they were on the national stage. An NCAA meet is nothing like the World Championships or the Olympics.

Where's my hand wringing? The team is ranked number 2 for 5 more days. That doesn't mean anything. They'll not make it past the sweet 16 and that's OK. And, Barnes deepest run was one sweet 16 since he's been here. There's nothing wrong with having realistic expectations of your program.

The fans with realistic expectations will be ecstatic if those expectations are exceeded..and will be glad to be pleasantly surprised..I was like that with football..But I am looking forward to March Madness and have already request 4 days off at work just for it..Never done that and really excited regardless of what happens..I’m an eternal optimist though.

We need new age donors that won’t forget about the football program. Look at Bama and Georgia. Prime examples. Then look at Tennessee and the bargain bin hiring practices and not putting full support behind football program.
