Barnes F’n Ball Baby!!!

I don't understand why fans do this. Most of the fail was on our players and Mizzou playing a helluva game. The 2nd half was actually really well coached. Barnes needs to place more emphasis on offensive production but players were simply failing to execute tonight in a lot of ways.

Coach Barnes made the coaching moves to put the team back in it. Coach Barnes didn't injure Phillips or JJJ. Coach Barnes didn't make Zakai foul out on a dumb play. Coach Barnes didn't miss his free throws.

But yeah, totally, Barnes' fault
You can't absolve a coach of everything. We lost to a bad team and a double digit underdog. The coach is responsible for preparation, discipline, practice, everything. Every loss is on him, every win is on him.

Missouri is a good team. I do agree though we shouldn't have lost to them at home

Whose job is it to prepare the players properly and instill mental discipline in them? I'm a fan of Barnes, but this constant "he can't be held responsible for for how the players perform" nonsense is crazy.

We're just not as good as we thought we were. We're definitely missing pieces.

And I go back to what I said earlier, Barnes needs an assistant that can unlock the players' offensive potential. Even when we bring in high rated guys, we don't seem to get the offense out of them we should. They play defense great, but they're not living up to their offensive potential. It's like they're scared. Phillips should be much better on the offensive end than he has been.

Tough loss. Key played like a guy who wanted to win a game. So did Awaka and Mashack.

Rough night for ON. He’s gotta start losing minutes with his inconsistency. Would rather see the effort and physicality from Aidoo and Awaka at this point.

Officiating was inconsistent and haphazard, but can’t give away FTs. Didn’t do what we needed to do to close out.

Saw some positives but tough to be happy about this one.
