It blows my mind we are already competing for titles....getting down to the penultimate game still with a great chance to make the playoffs suffices as "competing" for titles in opinion. If we were already in the expanded playoff era, then we would have been in this year, with a great chance to make it deep or all the way.

I think it is because they aren't old enough to remember the absolutely hopeless, bottom of the barrel, completely horrid Tennessee basketball years.

It used to make me sick watching them helplessly flounder around on both ends of the court.....it was putrid embarrassing basketball at worst and sickeningly mediocre at best.

I am thankful for Rick Barnes for putting a consistently good team on the floor every year...as long as your good, you at least have a punchers chance in the postseason....for decades it was a miracle if we even made the postseason.

I'm not old enough to remember that but I just understand how college basketball works
