This super bowl to me is one of the less interesting in awhile.
Any reason?

Mahomes and both teams being champs recently makes it fairly intriguing to me. Hurts has been quite the story too imo.

Ofc almost no SB puts me in a wild place. The only ones that came close were when Manning was in it or the Brady ones breaking records. Pats '07 as well because they blew a perfect season. Outside of those, nothing really comes close to me even vs a UT/UF game. But that's a CFB fanatic for ya and I get the majority of the country has a different perspective...as the SB is the biggest single game in the country.

Well man… I don’t really have a good reason other than it just isn’t a big thing this year for me. I have no idea why lol. Just doesn’t click like the past ones but I hope everyone that’s getting together tonight has a great time

A man stands up for his people.

The quote: “We all hurt for Santi,” Barnes said. “He’s hurting. I hurt for him, because he knows he had a chance, two games in a row, to put a game on ice. But he’s won a lot of games for us. I hate it for him. I do, because where we are today and where we’ve been, he’s had a lot to do with it.”

Lol you might be right
People just wanna championship around here
Their passion is for UT is above and beyond
CRB has done good things here but people are tired of the same thing every march. Get past the sweet 16 and it’s only gonna amp up
Yeah, Texas fans thought that too. Look what that got them.

I am persuaded by your reasoning but I only watch NFL clips of VFLs and I have never placed a bet. So grade of slaw.
I backed out and just went with eagles o20.5 + chiefs o23.5 for +125. Mahomes hasn't gone over 274.5 as much as I thought and Kelce has droughts without a td catch. . . Heupel has ruined my perception of offensive scoring. I'm expecting everyone to throw over 250 for 3tds and expect 3-4 different receivers to catch a td now, 😆

Very true. We saw it in football with Fulmer, we will probably see it again with Heup.

Going to guess rent prices are exorbitant. What does it run you? If you don't mind me asking... Mountains and parks have got to be breathtaking
It's pretty pricey depending on what your looking for. My mortgage is 3100 but I've seen some places to rent in the mid 2000s or so. I'm stationed here for a few years so plan to rent it out once I move. The mountains are beautiful, makes the drive to work worth it.

Whenever I was a kid, there was a period where we only made 1 NCAA Tourney in 14 seasons. Yes, I would love for Barnes to make a deep run; and yes, he can be very frustrating, his offenses, his style of ball, the bad losses, the early exits...

However, 1 in 14 years, compared to every single season, SEC Championships, #1 rankings, perennial Top 15-20 teams...

Some of you are the epitome of laughable.

I can't speak for everyone, but I've learned a lesson. I'm sticking with my expectations from when he was hired. 8-4 year 3 would've been thought as a success back then and would show consistent improvement from where he started.

9-11 wins by year 5 and competing for titles.

Hesitant to buy in this market, but it would be a 5 year commitment. Might rent a year, then purchase. Mid 2000's is very doable. Appreciate your insight

Whose job is it to make sure his team is good at free throws (one of the easiest things to coach)? Whose teams have been bad at free throws for years? You think it's just luck that some teams are good at free throws? That's coaching, it's practice, it's discipline.

Are you suggesting that Barnes’ teams don’t shoot FT’s well?

This year, we shoot 73% and 5th in the league and 130th overall. Last year was the worst in the last 6 years as we shot 71.2% and ranked 178th nationally. In 2021, we shot 74.6% and ranked 61st. In 2020, we shot 74.9% and ranked 58th. In 2019, we shot 75.8% and ranked 24th. In 2018, we shot 75.7% and ranked 43rd.

Rick Barnes’ teams are not bad at free throws with 363 teams in division 1 basketball.
