Still early but I think the fielding looks better - perhaps bad fielding was caused by the lights.

But I’m starting to think the hitting is a legitimate concern. We just aren’t putting pressure on any pitcher and we’ve rarely squared any balls up - today or really the whole weekend.

We know the top 5 guys are legit hitters…. They are all slow out of the gate right now.

He didn’t hire Harper…. He hired Josh Heupel and Duane Ross( track and field coach) here….. yes… mainly talking about his hires before Tennessee…. Out of 11-12 hires…. He has only made one bad hire(Buffalo softball coach)…. 2 average hires…. The rest are way above average with 3 being some of the most highly thought of coaches in the country( Oats, Leipold, and Heupel)

Wow, I had no idea he hired Nate Oats. I didn't know about Leipold either but hiring Nate Oats to his first HC job is astounding. I'm a fan of Oats minus that ugly color he wears but I'm more interested to see where he ends up long-term. I think it will be at a blue blood soon or someone like Texas that will throw a blank check at him.

Yeah I'm not sure what the play is to vindicate AP. Wrong for the showboat, got defended(because the game is still active) and started a fight. Truthfully, UNF should have gotten two or more FTs due to techs.

Yeah based on the final score, it looks like APSU got a technical shot. It was 72-71 at the time. Final score was 73-71 iirc

In fairness, most schools weren’t, Georgetown was his best offer coming out of HS. I am surprised though that ETSU didn’t give him a look

Oh I know. But that was a huge mystery his entire recruitment. The dude was a walking highlight reel and blew through Iverson's records. Went to multiple events in Knoxville to watch his sister or go to ball games. I don't know if he was a Vol fan per se, but he would've picked us over Georgetown for sure.

The criticism was that he went to a tiny school and played against terrible competition. But he has great athleticism and he can shoot from almost anywhere.
