It's definitely sad for the parents, but I'll play devil's advocate here: Did the parents have a responsibility to check his eligibility before traveling? Does the NCAA need to check every parent's travel plans before ruling on eligibility?

He's a transfer. His eligibility was in question when the parents bought the tickets. That's on them.

Great win today! Out with family so kept up with the final innings on my phone. Bats came alive, which we needed to see.

The pitching on this team is legit.

Only 7 runs given up all weekend, and I think 3 of those were unearned. If that's right , 1.33 ERA is going to win a ton of games. Our bats will continue to improve and if our defense is at least solid, we are going to go very far. Our pitching is very elite.

His sister played soccer for UT (Anna McClung). He could've been a Vol but Barnes' staff wasn't high on him.

His uncle (Seth McClung iirc) was also a MLB pitcher...Mac was a walking highlight reel in HS.
