Random but isn't there a poster or two here from Huntsville, AL? Thoughts on the city and area?
Yeah, I live in the Huntsville metro area. It's a small city with a lot of potential for growth. The real estate market is pretty hot still but there's a lot of new development. Traffic isn't a nightmare. Good cost of living with plenty of bigger city amenities. It's biggest weakness in my opinion is lack of good local restaurants. Plenty of green spaces and hiking for people that like the outdoors. It border the Tennessee River to the south and Lake Guntersville is 30 minutes away.

Not sure where you currently live, but I generally recommend it for people looking for a good small city experience.

Must be quite a few of us in the Huntsville area. Growing tech area with a fair number of good jobs. I like it. Love being able to get to Nashville in 90 minutes. Lots of trails and parks to explore as well. Amazing though how many houses are being built. Place is growing like wild fire. Now, it would be nice if they wouldn't keep building chain restaurant after chain restaurant Not a lot of great, unique food places.

My mum is a travel writer (sixlegswilltravel.com).
She writes from the perspective of a blind traveler and gets invited all over the world to write and review places.

Next week she will be in Kentucky by invite to write about the 2023 Bourbon Classic.

On her way back to Greenville she and my dad will be stopping in Knoxville and have been invited to check out Dead End BBQ and Sweet P's (as well as some other museums and the Sun Sphere and such).

To round out her article she is hoping to add a few more Knoxville area BBQ stops. Other than Applebee's, what is good over there these days?
(To be clear, while she has been invited by the city of Knoxville to go to Dead End BBQ and Sweet P's, they are not expecting free food at the other places, she just really wants to write a good well rounded article because she loves doing it).

I don’t live in Huntsville but it’s a great spot IMO. My sister and BIL have a lake house and small cabin right next door on Guntersville Lake. My nephew also lives there. It’s a fast growing city and it’s only gonna get better. If you wanna move there, I’d suggest to do it now because it’s still cheap and the ROI is gonna be massive IMO.
