I think winning at Providence is a bigger deal than Iona…. At Iona…. He is by far the best coach in the conference and his name helps bring in the most talent…. Similar to Calhoun when he came back to coach saint josephs and went 26-3 11-0 in conference…. Which coach would you take out of the top 5?Rick Pitino is a top 5 all time coach lol. As the guy said. Coaches will tell you he is top 5 all time. The track record is insane. Immense Success everywhere. Even at Iona.
Litton's is a Knoxville classic. I would say Ye Old Steak House but it's went down hill IMO.My mum is a travel writer (sixlegswilltravel.com).
She writes from the perspective of a blind traveler and gets invited all over the world to write and review places.
Next week she will be in Kentucky by invite to write about the 2023 Bourbon Classic.
On her way back to Greenville she and my dad will be stopping in Knoxville and have been invited to check out Dead End BBQ and Sweet P's (as well as some other museums and the Sun Sphere and such).
To round out her article she is hoping to add a few more Knoxville area BBQ stops. Other than Applebee's, what is good over there these days?
(To be clear, while she has been invited by the city of Knoxville to go to Dead End BBQ and Sweet P's, they are not expecting free food at the other places, she just really wants to write a good well rounded article because she loves doing it).
Problem is, everyone knows how he came about his success.Pitino is undoubtedly top 5. If he stays at Kentucky, he’s as revered as Coach K. He had Kentucky set up for over a decade of dominance and multiple championships incoming. Can’t imagine how unbearable UK fans would’ve been been during that era.
I love Huntsville...it will at some point be discovered like the Tri-Cities are now and it will be flooded with northerners...and real estate will go sky high.Yeah, I live in the Huntsville metro area. It's a small city with a lot of potential for growth. The real estate market is pretty hot still but there's a lot of new development. Traffic isn't a nightmare. Good cost of living with plenty of bigger city amenities. It's biggest weakness in my opinion is lack of good local restaurants. Plenty of green spaces and hiking for people that like the outdoors. It border the Tennessee River to the south and Lake Guntersville is 30 minutes away.
Not sure where you currently live, but I generally recommend it for people looking for a good small city experience.
My in-laws all live in the Guntersville-Albertville area...we lived there for 6 years from 07-13 and it was mostly just dead, but it's blowing up pretty good now...Guntersville in particular.I don’t live in Huntsville but it’s a great spot IMO. My sister and BIL have a lake house and small cabin right next door on Guntersville Lake. My nephew also lives there. It’s a fast growing city and it’s only gonna get better. If you wanna move there, I’d suggest to do it now because it’s still cheap and the ROI is gonna be massive IMO.
The part that concerns me is only having one commit the past two seasons…. It does look like recruiting is picking up in the future but will she be able to hold on to her position that long…. Need some really good transfers this year.Dang, Lady Vols 20-9, 12-2 SEC, sitting at third in the conference. Honestly, that's really impressive considering number 1 and 2 are top 5 teams nationally.
Not where this program deserves to be but really isn't that bad. I've just yet to see them get a big upset win.

Random but isn't there a poster or two here from Huntsville, AL? Thoughts on the city and area?
That is really surprising. But, since TN's Central area is growing so quickly, perhaps it isnt.I'm in Huntsville pretty regularly and it's already happening

The home prices are starting to catch up with Nashville area as well.
