Translation: College Football Leaders are frightened by the advantage and performance of Josh Heupel's offense and want to change the rules to limit him.

Also - Heupel's offense can't put together a sensational 1 minute halftime or game winning drive without using timeouts if we make the clock run and level the playing field.

Just have to go even faster,

Baffles me they never mention cutting down TV timeouts when talking about "speeding up" the games....wonder why that is.

You could start to finish most college football games within 2.5 hours if they didn't stop for anything except actual timeouts by the teams.

No! Hour-long halftimes are a college football tradition.

I mean, if you can’t go make a beer run two counties over and get back before the second half kicks, what’s even the point?

Mahomes would've never been healthy enough to play in the 2nd half of the super bowl if he didn't have that 29 minute halftime to help him heal.

Half our games it felt like I watched more commercials than football.

I think the lady that owned/ran it has either passed away or I know she was losing her sight so she may have been unable to continue working. We used to refer to her as "the steak nazi". I feel guilty now.

That was Helen. She's been gone a good while, but never forgotten! The kids own it now, and I don't think it's as good as it was when the parents ran it. I haven't been there in ages-- not since the fire.

I would assume it is built into the contract of how much commercial time the network is able to use…. A couple years ago….. commercials brought in over 750,000,000….. in the national championship…. Each 30 sec commercial cost over 1,000,000 dollars.

Honestly I am fine with 1, 2, and even 4. I think 3 is part of the DNA of college football so not sure how I feel about that one. I think most of these changes could actually benefit Heupel's offense more than hurt it.
