Tbf they have to evaluate hundreds of players. A few weeks seems reasonable. Though I see Newt's point about the huge gap
I'd think a couple weeks would be fine, even 1 week. Im not sure what the draft entails, but I was referring to the physical trials being 1 week from draft day. Evaluate the players on your board you as normally would. Make a list of which you like best and then plug in the numbers from the physical workouts and see if the list changes based on performance.

I'd prefer getting a player's combine results as close to draft day as possible, especially the o-line & d-line. A lot can change in 1-2 months with the hogs and really any player.

I'd want to be able to plug them into rookie camp as close to their combine condition as possible, considering he amount of moolah on the line.

They’re saying there is no such thing as accessory to the accessory to murder. Miller gave the gun to Miles who gave the gun to Davis who fired the gun. Feels pretty obvious what Miller did should be SOME type of crime, but they are saying that is legal.
Preventing someone from leaving an area where they are ultimately murdered sounds a lot like accessory to me.

Clarification…you are confusing Miles and Miller. Miles was charged, and his mother is a veteran cop.

However, as an attorney in TN, I do believe Brandon Miller could have been charged, and it does make you wonder.
Just out of curiousity, what could he be charged with?

If you don't have a carry license, can you still transport a friend's gun for him/her? That is where my mind went. Or maybe he did have a carry license idk

I had to read the article again as the pronoun of “his” was not clear. Alabama is an open carry state now, so a permit is not required. Intent may be difficult to prove on Miller, but TN has a facilitation charge to any crime. I don’t know the exact laws on Alabama’s books.

Just read this story. I'm honestly confused. If he actually delivered the gun to the scene, which they seem to be saying he did, would that not make him an accomplice to the crime? But for the weapon he delivered, the young lady would still be alive. It makes no sense, other than to say the star player is being protected. If I'm the victim's family, I'm filing a civil suit for wrongful death when this kid signs his NBA contract.

Again, maybe there are things to be charged with, but transporting a gun and being an accomplice are not exclusive. If your neighbor asks you to bring back his rifle you borrowed and later shoots someone dead, well you get the point.

Js I'd assume there needs to be more. Such as your neighbor saying, "hey return my rifle I'ma shoot a mothaclucker". Then yeah that'd be different I suspect. Needs to be some knowledge of intent I'd guess

But if you knew he was gonna kill someone with the gun?

Yeah it was poorly written/conveyed. Jmo but what helped him the most is his story lined up with what they already knew from the footage. Unlike the other guy, also an Alabama player.

That was not mentioned. Even if so, clearly no one would ever admit it and would be impossible to prove unless someone said so. But that's also an assumption and may not even be the case.

I also think the detail of Miller and Bradley parking their cars to block the road adds to the argument that Miller understood violence may take place. There may be text messages found during discovery that further elucidate Miller's knowledge and intent in bringing Miles his gun and blocking the road with his vehicle.

Miller's mocked as high as 3rd in the upcoming NBA Draft. All I can think is "what a freakin idiot just wasting all that potential on something so dumb." I'm glad he didn't come to Tennessee.

Turns out Nate Oats actually sucks and only cares about winning. Not sure how you know this information and let Miller play while it unfolds.

That sounds horrible. Didn't Tennessee suspend five players and dismiss Tyler Smith when guns were found in a vehicle. I think they reinstated the remaining 4, but they did suspend them and none of the guns had been used in a crime, much less a murder.
