Wait, I was at the hospital when I read the Miller/Oats stuff and I completely misread. How on Earth is he not accessory? Couldn't charge him is simply a lie. Does anyone think a regular black kid in the state of Alabama wouldn't be staring at a felony murder charge if he/she did the same thing? At the very least, the kid is an accessory. A fair DA might allow him to plea that down to something else if the kid is just stupid (and at that age he may well be simply dumb) but most people would be charged in that situation.

This is going to get worse as more of the national media starts talking about it.

That is one of the more bizzare explanations I've seen.

If it is true that it is perfectly legal to loan a firearm for the purposes of committing a felony as long as you use a proxy, that is beyond dumb.

But the reality is, anyone else does that in Tuscaloosa with two of their friends, all three of you are getting smoked.

If Miller and Miles switched places, they probably would have said Miller didn't do anything wrong since it wasn't his gun.

Saw a parent charge at my then 16 year old son who was umpiring a rec league t ball game. I was umpiring on the adjacent field and I hollered if he touches you knock his teeth down his throat. Both fields went silent, son was a big strong kid that would relish the opportunity to throw hands, dont think dad thought about that possibility until then and he backed off. I umpired baseball and high school football for many years and parents/fans are the reason I gave it up.

I umpired quite a bit when I was 14/15. My worst ever experience was a t-ball tournament. I had grown adults calling me every cuss word in the book......one of them happened to be my math teacher in high school. I don't know why adults get so crazy at their kids sporting events.
I officiated football from Jr. Pro through high school. My worst experience in all my years was a Saturday morning Jr. Pro game(5 and 6 yr old) in Westmoreland. We only used two officials for these games. There was a man in the stands watching his son, stepson or nephew (can't remember which) that ran his loud mouth for most of the first half. The other ref who was the white hat for this game, stopped action momentarily to warn the guy to either shut up or he would "throw him out" from the facility. The guy continues to verbally shout obscenities at us and the other ref told him to leave the premisis. He shouted to us that we hadn't heard the last of this. Sure enough after the game and as us two were walking to our cars, two seperate Westmoreland police cars pull up in the parking lot and approached us. They asked us for our names and wanted to see our licences and asked us why we had the man leave. It was a bit unnerving. We filed a report with our official association and our supervisor of officials notified the Westmoreland youth football association to find them someone else to ref their games. We never went back.

Ofc we get a penalty called once Santi is wide open and he knocks it down 😒

But at least he saw it go through...

I forgot about this A&M coach. I'm sure he thinks this is their biggest game. A win here would be great for the confidence of role and bench players, given the situation.
