It’s a loss for sure. But a lot of people play the “what 3 star should be a 4 star game”. Well if we played then “what 4 star should be 3 star” I wouldn’t have hesitated to pick Smith. No disrespect to the kid. It still sucks as we need safety help bad and as much as we can get. But it’s the least hurtful one to lose out of the highly rated guys imo

What sucks is the decommit comes so late. If it had happened sooner, we'd still have a shot at some of the better HS recruits. Not sure we do now. So my guess is we'll have to look portal.
