Coach Prime is DESTROYING the Colorado Football program for the foreseeable future and the athletic department there is allowing it.

I don't know if this is true or not. If it were 10 years ago, I'd say you're right. Two points to make though:
  • Colorado has been historically bad for a long time. They had one win last year. How far down can they really go? 0 losses? Who cares.
  • The transfer portal has changed the year-to-year CFB landscape in ways I still can't comprehend. Is it truly possible to build an entire competitive football team from the portal? The rule wasn't intended to be used that way - of course - but I think the answer may be "Yes". With proper coaching, a few really good players, and a weak conference, I think Colorado can be competitive faster than people think.
Maybe Deion is exposing an unknown or underused weakness in the portal. If it works for him, we may see a big year-to-year increase in roster turnover across CFB in the future.

Does Deion having the coaching and managerial chops to steer this process effectively? We'll find out soon.

Funny you ask. Was talking about this very thing with a co-worker just this week. There are about 5 of us scattered across TN.

In all fairness, I dont like big cities. Nashville is sprawled out, and seems to have no soul. Again, I'm sure I'm way off base here to some of you, this is my opinion. Traffic is abyssmal, as is any large city.

Also do not care for the topography, flat expanses. We are blessed in NE TN with lots of mountains.

Fire away, Oda.
I don’t like cities at all. Especially the traffic. Never knew hills was a good thing for cities though. Not sure what you mean by soul either unless you prefer Motown to country. But don’t see why Nashville can’t have good sports venues.

Me either ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ but I didnt make em.

Thought you were discussing development of QBs in specific systems? Heupel had way more input in that for Bradford vs defensive mastermind HC Bob Stoops.
We were discussing that no qb had been successful in the NFL from the beer and shoot….I was talking about Heupel’s version and Art Briles bc they are similar. As a qb coach…. They ran the Air Raid offense at that time… Heup didn’t start incorporating veer and shoot concepts till near the end of his time at Oklahoma… I do think that Heupel can develop QBs…. Guys from this offense just need to prove it on the NFL level.

Oh I gotcha my bad. To defend that though there’s been serviceable qb’s outta the system; RGlll, Kevin Kolb, case Keenum, Drew Lock. Who was the highest rated QB from high school to sign with a veer and shoot?

Studies on the revenue impact of stadiums are decidedly mixed. These are billionaire owners. They don't need to be fleecing taxpayers to build stadiums, especially when there's no chance they're leaving Nashville anyway, but legislators are all too happy to dip into the public trough to finance nonsense. It's someone else's money after all!

Nashville sales revenue is hugely impacted by the location of the stadium. With downtown just a short walk across the bridge and Nashville tourism being what it is, downtown is absolutely flooded on game days. Then bring in concerts, then bring in Final Four and other events like CMA Fest, etc. There’s a reason why hotels are still being built all over downtown and show no signs of stopping. This stadium only helps that.

This years isn't, I just meant the year they did host it they raked in big bucks and it's one driving factor in the city wanting to upgrade the Titan's stadium.

That and their new professional soccer team.

For context, that draft being in Nashville produced $10.6 million in tax revenue for Davidson County. Massive $$ for one week.

Drew Lock was a 95 rated 4*….. Griffin was a low rated 4*…. Hooker was rated similar to Griffin.

Here are two stats…. One is Hookers from his best year and the other is Bryce Petty..

69.6% 3135 9.5 y/a 27 TDs 2 ints 430 yds 5 TDs

62% 4,200 10.4 y/a 32 TDs 3 ints 209 yds rush 14 TDs

This is why some may be hesitant on Hooker…. Almost every qb is able to put up stats in this offense

We need him to prove it in the league once he gets there…. All those QBs you mentioned were journey man…. Not starting level qbs…. Griffon had a chance to be that guy if he didn’t get injured.

Complete waste of taxpayer money.
Disagreed but I understand why people think its a waste. I used to think this stuff was a waste.

Improved venue that will draw more large events and increase tourism to Nashville, more draft events, bowl games, college football season kickoffs, Super Bowl, concerts, USMNT games/tournament site (Gold Cup and qualifying), international rugby contests, hosting European soccer games, etc. Some of those already happen, but new stadium and stadium comfort will increase participation and spending. Increase in tourism = increase in economy and tax revenue for the state & city. It's an investment that will recoup the cost and more.

Personally there's 2 very specific reasons why I wouldn't draft Will Levis.

1. Mark Stoops - His style of coaching is defense first, run the ball, manage the game at QB. His best finishing teams were all run heavy offenses and one season a WR played QB the bulk of the year for them. Doesn't develop QB talent, doesn't prepare or help them develop for the next level just ZERO track record of any of his QBs being able to even hold a roster spot at the next level. Levis played in 24 games there and has 636 attempts in those games but just 5232 passing yards. Hooker in 24 games at UT had 632 attempts and put up 6080 passing yards

2. Christopher Rodriguez Jr. - Any QB with a RB that has a career 6.2 YPC should be able to put up some numbers, no one is coming in trying to stop the passing game against Kentucky. NO ONE. 38 games for Levis, only 7 throwing 250 or more yards and 6 of the 7 were against non P5 schools. The 7th was TN in a shootout (which they lost) in Heupel's first year.

24 starts at Kentucky and only in 50% of those games did he throw for 200 or more passing.

Just feel like Levis is a throwback to the 90s era of pro QBs, where you had guys like Smith, Thurman, Edge, George, Dillon, the Bus, Martin, etc. that would rack up 300+ carries and you're just being asked to throw it 20-25 times a game with the bulk coming off PA into single coverage looks.
Titans, "Ugh, I love this song! Turn it up!"

You continue to demonstrate your PhD is a farce with your lack of refinement.
