Hooker and other QBs will get knocked until a qb from this system is successful… I looked up stats from all of Heupel’s teams and Art Briles teams(which is closest to what we run, imo)…. All the QBs stats were very similar…. Some a little worse or better. No qb has ever been a successful NFL qb from this system…. We need Hooker to be the first one.

Of those QBs in both systems, how many were 4/5 star talents?

Nah. Nico won’t get knocked when it’s his turn regardless of HH.
I don’t think it will hurt Joe either bc he is physical specimen as long as he is our qb all year long…. We need them to be successful pros more to be able to sell it to future recruits.

Griffin III was 4*…. He had more as a coordinator but didn’t exactly run the same system in entirety…. I don’t know if that matters as much if the 3* are performing as good as the 4/5 *……That’s why I am not at all worried about qb…. That position will always be solid although may take some adjustment to find the right guy.

It goes both ways and it won't go just one way. Nature of the beast sadly.
Yeah, it pretty low to pull scholarships of players who are about to graduate in a year or less. About 98% of these players will never play beyond college. If you have one year left and get your scholarship pulled, you might have to go 2 years at another school to graduate. I also know of players (starters) who would like to transfer, but in order to graduate on time they are choosing to stay at schools with new coaches that they hate. I know it goes both ways, but it does not benefit the student athlete.

Thing is in college you can develop 3 stars to play like a 4/5 star...but a lot of the limitations that made them a 3 star to begin with become the ultimate issue why they don't workout in the NFL.

RGIII was a low rated 4 star, but had he not had the injuries in the NFL that he did he would still be there probably, didn't help he was also on a bad Washington team.

I am hearing lots of stories of P5 coaches pulling scholarships of players. Many of these players in portal are being forced into portal. Some are near graduation and are losing scholarships. This is not just Colorado, it is everywhere. NIL and transfer portal have really hurt players who love to play, but also want an education. NCAA and many coaches are proving once again that they care nothing about student athletes. $$$$

Scholarships have always been 1 year agreements. If coaches are choosing not to renew, that’s on the coaches. The portal isn’t making the decision, the human coach is.

But the overall root cause is the same as it is in every situation when something seemingly pure gets perverted - money.

AI and robotics will be exactly like virtually every other disruptive technology. It will have both extremely beneficial and extremely detrimental uses. And it will be yet one more thing to polarize people and give them something to fight about.
I'm siding with retired robots rights, who feel humans only desire new, shiny metal and chrome. Its a shame that perfectly good robots are replaced with newer chipsets. They should be able to be repurposed for other tasks, like shoe shining, or bartending. Let them retire with dignity

I don't really understand the logic in booting 20+ kids before summer in your first spring in the program. How often do kids catch on after one semester with a new coaching staff/ system?

If Deion thinks bringing in 20+ transfers this summer as replacements with only one month of prep before the season starts is a recipe for success then Colorado is a disaster waiting to happen.

True, but year 1 = most forgiven in a new tenure for a HC as well.

So if he thinks he needs to flip the roster this would be the best time to do it in a drastic way.

Yeah all Joe needs is to be healthy and have a good full season.

If you project his Clemson performance for 13 games he'll be a top 5 pick.
lol he'd be a number 1 overall pick if every game is like that. We'll also be national champs if every game is like that for him.

Here are some of the 3* QBs in the pros…. Allen, Mahomes, Prescott, Tannehill, Pickett, Lamar Jackson, Rodgers, Russell Wilson, Purdy, Cousins….. Burrow was a low 4*…. I don’t know if Griffin Iii would have been any better or not but the fact is that none has done it yet.

Just saw part about rotation. Thats cool. But, venue in Nash sucks. Honestly Id like to see them get rid of conference championships all together.
Eh, the SEC will grow and then secede from the NCAA and have the "College Wonder-Uber-Bowl" championship (sponsored by Uber and Wonder Bread) instead of the NCAA championship.

This was predicted. Some said it would not happen because of limited scholarships. I am wondering how Deion and others will have enough.

Sam Bradford threw around 3,500 yards every year he stayed healthy. That’s pretty good. Most of the QB failures were on the coaches of the nfl team.

On the other hand… if Levis is as good as these people think he is, Kentucky is going to be terrible next year. I wouldn’t complain about that.

Great Take! Yes, if Levis is supposed to be so good (funny no one in the SEC saw this year after year, but apparently NFL scouts can), then next season KY should be much worse than this past season, right?

That’s for all QBs….. here is the list of QBs from the past few seasons…. Some had amazing college careers and couldn’t hack it in the pros.
Pickett ? It’s an extremely hard position to scout with very few guarantees… I, personally, wouldn’t take Levi’s.

The great:
Lawrence…. Early but really good
Burrow
Murray
Mahomes
Allen
Watson
Herbert

Average:
Fields
D Jones
M Jones ( bottom of the average group)
Tua
Goff

Busts so far:
Wilson
Lance
Love
Haskins
Mayfield
Darnold
Trubisky
Wentz
Lynch
Winston
Matiotta
Bortles
Manziel
Bridgewater
Manuel

Where does Jalen Hurts land on this list?

But if the coaches are pulling the scholarship because they think (or probably already know and have it worked out) they can get a better player because it is so easy with the portal…then it’s the portal. For the coach the goal is winning and keeping their job. Of course money comes along with that.
