I don't think I'd disagree with that point about Velus. I think Hyatt spent his sophomore season learning a lot from Payton, Velus and Tillman. He carried that education into his off-season prep and had a big season. Had Velus gotten a 2nd year with Heupel he could have potentially done the same thing.

Also as I stated before I think if Hyatt stays healthy and makes the catches he's got the potential to have a great NFL career. That's my biggest concern with him, health & catching the ball (he did have 2 frustrating seasons here not being great at making catches).
Velus played 5 seasons of college football before Heup became his coach… he had 180 yards more than the other 5 seasons combined…. That is what this system does to wide receiver production.

I took my wife to the Taylor Swift show on Friday in Nashville. I don't know if anyone else here went to any of the Nashville shows, or any of the other cities. Her fans go freaking crazy for her. I will say, she put on a great show. She's a pro.

There were only 70,000 (mostly female) fans in attendance but they got to 120+ dB several times during the show. It was like a Tennessee game if every play was third down or a touchdown.
My SIL and niece went and loved it. I love the way everyone dressed up.

Eh... I think that's a little extreme.

I vote we just change the rule against allowing some dickhead to throw a ball at someone because they got their feelings hurt. If that don't work, maybe we resort to physical violence against the dickheads that throw things at people because they got their feelings hurt.
Retaliations solve everything. Just look at gang warfare and the middle east.

Yep, and somehow the NFL seems to think that’s a bad thing?

Like Chiefs WRs, RBs under Mike Shanahan too…how is putting up numbers in an offense that’s supposed to put up numbers a bad thing?! But then these GMs will draft QBs with ****** production because how they look in gym shorts throwing on air 😂

Sally wrote a theme song to the story:
"Some people may laugh and call me names, but they don't understand the joy of neck gains" 😆 😆 😆

Edit: I tried to get her to fix the 1st verse, since it didn't rhyme. . . this is what she came up with. . . I really thought she was gonna say something besides socks 👀

On a more serious note, I read this morning that over 90% of companies are now seeking out folks well-versed in ChatGPT and even amateur non-techie Prompt Engineers are making as much as 330k out the gate. It's big business.

The next big "must" on your resume...like Excel, Word, etc have become ubiquitous to the point that it feels silly to even list them anymore. This will be those programs, resume-wise, in a decade apparently.

I wish someone would throw $330k/yr my way for playing with a chatbot, 😆

Watch the tape. This is what I’m saying. Heup isn’t reinventing anything. He runs motion, trips, pockets, just like everyone else. The thing about his offense that is different is; pace and match ups. This is what every OC should do?
Yes they ran same routes, just like every other WR in the country does.
edit for this. The real thing that separates heup from them is this. Choice routes. Play what the defense gives you. But you still have to run the same routes as everyone in the nation.

I think Hyatt can do all the things DeVonta can, but one of them had more proof of their ability to do it coming out of college. How is this even debatable?

A scout saying “you’re just a speed guy” is ignorant and a lazy narrative. It’s like the guy is admitting he just saw the highlight reel.

But a scout saying “you don’t have as many different routes on film as we typically see” is at least a valid statement to make. Partly because Hyatt has less production, 108 total receptions for his career and a good portion are go routes, his first year that’s almost exclusively how Pruitt tried to use him.

You've picked 3 teams that will all be playing with new QB's. I think odds are better this year than usual of getting a national champion outside that group.

I had thought about that. I think that opens the door for a team like Ohio State a bit more this year since they seem to be a (very small) step behind Georgia and Bama in overall talent. There are a few wild cards out there like Texas A&M, Texas, LSU, etc. Michigan is next in odds but I don't see them or USC doing it.

Yall ever talking to a fan of another team and then find out that you know more about their favorite team than they do and then it's awkward?

Was talking to a Nebraska fan who was in his late 20's yesterday.

He was just kinda blabbering about Nebraska's tradition as if I wouldn't already understand that because they've been bad.

For one he tried to say the 97 team was voted the best team of all time and I said "pretty sure that was the 95 team"

Said they won't titles in 93,95,97

It was in 94 not 93

Then he said they had won ONE HUNDRED conference championships 🤣🤣🤣 "uh there's no way they've won 100 conference titles"

Like c'mon man

Don't try and spit facts at a true sports degenerate

You gon learn real quick I've wasted way more of my life than you 😎
Yes absolutely. Being a sports history junkie… it gets alittle awkward. I don’t want to come off as arrogant and know it all about their favorite team but the blatant misinformation is sometimes too much lol
