I think Hyatt can do all the things DeVonta can, but one of them had more proof of their ability to do it coming out of college. How is this even debatable?

A scout saying “you’re just a speed guy” is ignorant and a lazy narrative. It’s like the guy is admitting he just saw the highlight reel.

But a scout saying “you don’t have as many different routes on film as we typically see” is at least a valid statement to make. Partly because Hyatt has less production, 108 total receptions for his career and a good portion are go routes, his first year that’s almost exclusively how Pruitt tried to use him.

Didn’t we have to use him in stack formation a lot bc Hyatt had difficulty getting open without a free release?

Seemed less often this season, but the first two years press really bothered him.

I mean you watch Tillman and the things he does translate no matter what offense you run. Catches in traffic, yards after catch, sharp routes and an ability to win 50/50 balls and catch with his hands.

But Hyatt has a ton of potential and you can’t teach speed. I think he could really have himself a nice career. Hyatt could be DeVonta, he simply hasn’t accomplished it yet.
