Snippy. Have you analyzed their rosters and counted the NFL draft picks? I can tell you the record the decade before Saban and Heupel arrived were basically identical between LSU and UT. We aren't the only major program to fall on hard times.

It's not being a negavol or pumping up a rival to point out that maybe Heupel's turnaround is a good corollary for a past turnaround by the highest paid coach in college football (a guy I can't stand btw). I'm with you on the Bama turnaround around (or the Smart/UGA one) being way less impressive than what Heupel's done. I started watching SEC football in 1988 though and LSU was largely irrelevant until Saban got there.

It’s interesting to see this exact time last year Heupel was ranked by the media people as somewhere around the 8-11th best SEC coach. Now he’s generally 4th sometimes 3rd.

I’d argue while Kelly has way more experience as a Head Coach. Heupel is better. Kelly isn’t a bad head coach but that’s not the point. He’s been Head Coach in the FBS for 2 decades and has zero NY6 bowl wins. Take out CMU and Cincinnati. That’s still over 10 years with ND and LSU. Still no NY6 bowl wins. Heupel has a better win percentage and already has a NY6 bowl win. H2H Heupel crushed him last year at home as we all know as well.

$200/night is about the going rate for a decent hotel without events. Then, it goes up with events.

I was going to suggest the Doubletree in Oak Ridge because it is usually less than $200 and very accessible to west Knoxville. But it looks like that week is full on a few nights, and they are $300+ on that weekend.

Worried more about Joe staying upright and having time to throw, and being able to run the ball on SEC teams than I am anything.

Hope we can get rid of the ball little better this year. I know they wait as long as possible for plays to develop. A few more throw aways instead of sacks would help a little more. Don't like 3rd and long or punting from bad field position. It's going to be a fun season . GBO

Looks like we're going to be relocating out of Dalton, GA down to Cherokee County. If anyone has any recommendations on areas to live, let a brother know. We're probably going to rent for the first year or so. We'd like to be at around $2,500 or less.

Not sure how I'm ever going to get over having to move away from a place that can only be described as a mixture of Shangri-la, Camelot, and Xanadu
