I listened to a show talking about how much square foot that you could buy for 450,000 in big cities…. Cleveland and Detroit…. You could buy 4-5,000 square foot homes…. In NYC….. you could get 75 square feet.Red Roof is about $450 a night in the bad part of town. Average hotel is about 1,900 a night. 2,900 downtown.
But nothing compared to NYC area, it's about 3,000 a night anywhere and 6,250 a night median price to stay in Manhattan. Then again their apartments average 156,000 a month to rent and to buy a 1 bedroom 600 sq ft tiny condo is 19.3 million on average. Wild times.
We are discussing whether or not Saban would have taken on a situation like Tennessee was in. I don’t think so. He knew the support was at LSU and could get what he needed. The SEC was not king of the hill at the time either.Wasn’t both of those situations due to an incompetent Athletic Department… we are discussing hiring a coach with a competent AD in charge. We nailed our AD’s first choice last time and then the schianamo happened…. I agree that no coach would come here with the incompetent leadership that we had here before.
I mean...Detroit still has areas yet to be razed. Just gutter houses they'd happily give you for free if you'll cover the property tax on basically nothing.I listened to a show talking about how much square foot that you could buy for 450,000 in big cities…. The new one or OG? This is South. New location. Awesome building though. Murals everywhere.Stopped by there yesterday. So peaceful. Wedge was always the happy spot. The smell inside the buildings. The vipe outside. The feel of the breeze off the river.
Even got me a new hat from Wedge. Thought about 12 bones hat but, got wife a mother's day shirt instead.
bought one of the og wedge hats in 20. survived beach, kids. got swallowed by the monster that eats hats. The new one or OG? This is South. New location. Awesome building though. Murals everywhere.
Agree on the Wedge. THE place to stop off while tubing...free peanuts...cornhole.
Funny you say that about the hat because I just won a Wedge hat at a charity event for a friend's birthday the other week for a local pet rescue. Bid $250 on the basket and won about $750 in gifts, one of which was a Wedge hat my wife promptly stole forever. Looks great on her, so no complaints.
