Is it the best idea to take your full cut when someone is throwing that hard? Should you make an adjustment?

Definitely take your full cut although this guy doesn’t seem to be the greatest hitter…. In todays baseball…. You are looking for high ops %….. strikeouts don’t matter as much.

Agree about the turnarounds. Japan had very little to gain with that deal. They wanted China's resources. Not sure why they thought jumping in bed with the Nazis would help with that.

Hitler and the Japanese leadership thought they were better than everyone else. Japan thought everyone else was subhuman. Nazis had uber mensch. They were the epitome of what was wrong with the world. They were made for each other.

Nobody on our schedule got significantly better than they were last year. Most are equal or maybe even slightly worse off. We have a few questions on the OL but Elerbee will have them ready to go. I think our defense will be much improved from last year and that will take a lot of pressure off. I see no reason why we shouldn't be 10-2 in the regular season and I will be thoroughly ensconced at 15-0 probably by mid June at the latest.

The Butch years were clearly the best of the bunch but I dislike him considerably more than I dislike Dooley or Pruitt.

Butch somehow gave us hope. Then everyone saw through his bs and team’s dramatically underachieved.
The shine wore off dooley and pruitt much quicker.
For me, pruitt was the worst. He seemed to be a bama plant with a goal to torpedo the Vols into oblivion. However, he was so inept that he turned Tennessee into a Phoenix!

One day, maybe we will be thankful that pruitt’s idiocy enabled a clean sweep of the program and gave us DW. I sincerely doubt that I will ever be thankful for pruitt, but you never know.

I believe their thinking was they would effectively kill our fleet in one fell swoop and we'd cease to be a threat to their interests in the Pacific. But our carriers weren't present at Pearl Harbor and they misjudged our reaction.

If they had attacked China instead of the US, then history would be different.
The US would not have gotten involved until Japan had solidified itself in the Pacific. The nazis would have completely overtaken Europe.
That was the single biggest mistake of the war. Should not have given the US any reason to be involved. Our economy was still devastated from the Great Depression. US morale was at an all time low.
My guess is that they thought the US was so far down that we were going to fold with a little show of force.
Wonder who spearheaded the idea that Pearl Harbor was a great idea to vanquish the US?

If by big, you mean that we will establish an overall winning percentage like we have against vandy and uk, then it will be big.
Having lived in Texas continuously since 2000, I want nothing less than to completely dominate the series against texas in every possible aspect in every possible sport. I want them to dread the real Orange, the Power T, Rocky Top, I want them to regret that Tennesseans were the reason that Texas isn’t part of Mexico. No, I am not salty at all. Once you get a taste of longhorn fans and their superiority complex, you’ll understand. They are my most disliked team outside of the SEC. And now they are joining us. I hope their decision to join the SEC leads to their ruination.

My son said it best at age 6. Neighbors who are staunch longhorns asked him why he rooted for Tennessee instead of texas. My son’s response? I’m sorry, we eat cows, we don’t root for them! Very proud of that boy!
