YamamotoIf they had attacked China instead of the US, then history would be different.
The US would not have gotten involved until Japan had solidified itself in the Pacific. The nazis would have completely overtaken Europe.
That was the single biggest mistake of the war. Should not have given the US any reason to be involved. Our economy was still devastated from the Great Depression. US morale was at an all time low.
My guess is that they thought the US was so far down that we were going to fold with a little show of force.
Wonder who spearheaded the idea that Pearl Harbor was a great idea to vanquish the US?
I'm not really understanding you...the Japanese had been at war with China since the early 30s...they had slaughtered millions of Chinese before WW2 proper even started. The main reason for the conflict between the Japanese and US was because we cut them off from our resources to try and force then to desist in China...so they decided to take them from everybody else.If they had attacked China instead of the US, then history would be different.

He did not want to attack the US at all.............and he knew that it was over when the US Carrier Fleet wasn't at Pearl. That was huge!Yamamoto was hesitant, Tojo and others in the army were the driving force, Yamamoto was educated in the U.S. and knew what our response would be and our capabilities. He said that if the U.S. didn't capitulate with in six months that Japan would lose.

I think they believed all our free press was reporting about how much people didn’t want to go to war and politicians agreeing with them that we would stay out of it. They didn’t realize that behind that talk was a nation of determined people that would never back down from a fight for a country they loved, and there was nothing subhuman about them.If they had attacked China instead of the US, then history would be different.

They hadn’t finished the job with China, tho. Both Mao and Chiang were on the run…but not stamped out.I'm not really understanding you...the Japanese had been at war with China since the early 30s...they had slaughtered millions of Chinese before WW2 proper even started. There’s no state secrets to Heupel’s offense. The devil’s in the teaching, implementation and ingraining in every player. It’s why he selectively chooses his teachers and they generally have history with him and his methods. No player can give more insight than what those film study dudes supply in their breakdowns.Kirby taking a LB who couldn't stay healthy at RB just because he thinks he can get some inside knowledge of Heupel's offense.
