No, not just plus size. Scroll through yahoo (my junk email account) and look at all the articles and sites dedicated to celebrating women for getting naked for free on Instagram (mostly naked of course). Right below an article about the devaluing of the dollar will be an article saying how brave someone is or how fierce and independent someone is by posing nude on Instagram.

I mean those types of articles are usually dumb but most of those women on IG aren't really doing it for free. Right now, IG is the front door to things like fans only or only fans (whichever it is). Those women (and it's all variety of women from old to young, every color and shape) post those pics on IG to get an initial audience and then they sell more at their websites. It's the modern day version of porn stars working the strip club circuit to drum up more cash. It's free the same way your first hit of cocaine is 'free.'

Sure, you'll have a few regular people doing so as well because they want to show off or what have you but a metric ton of that is coming from people who are operating a business and that business model is dependent on the fantasy of being a regular person on the internet (IOW, they're not marketing themselves as a pornstar but as a regular person who is helping other regular people fulfill a fantasy).

So Jack himself is safe. Now think of those around you. Are there any girls, nieces, others you know, etc. that have to live in a society where they are pressured to conform to these expectations? Are there any sons, nephews, etc. that will make many bad choices because of what they see? And also consider the world you are leaving your grandkids. But for all I know you live in a cave in Wyoming.
A cave in Wyoming sounds dreamy.

Does me getting all up in arms change anything?

My approach is to protect my children. Teach them what is right and what is wrong. Objectification is nothing new. Raise them right and things take care of themselves.

If she can do that she can pitch in college. There's already been a female college starter/pro but she was a control pitcher. She could hit 80+ if asked but when she threw them faster it made her pitches easier to hit because they would flatten out. I only know anything about it because I recently read an article on her and it surprised me that there'd already been a woman pro (that wasn't in the the WW2 Era) who'd struck out male pros. Really with baseball, you will probably have a few really exceptional women who can play with the men. Seems like every era has a few women that the male stars of the day admire and a few stories about them playing together/against one another.
Is that Kelsie Whitmore? I don’t think she was a pro bc of her talent. Has there ever been a good female that competed in varsity public baseball at the High School, college, or pro level. I love women in baseball…. Just wondering if any of them has ever proven to be good players?

Am I the only one who doesn’t care about this part of the game? Like give me made up faces and names, I don’t care, I just want to start building my UT dynasty.

When it was first going you couldn't tell who was who anyway. But this goes back to the NIL value of players anyway and I still contend that they bring zero NIL value to the table* as entering players but that they receive NIL value from their association with a given university. After a few years of exposure (sometimes sooner) they gain NIL value from that exposure to an pre-built fanbase but college fandom is not built on attachments to specific players. If EA put out a college team that used generic models and names everyone would be happy as long as the stadiums and uniforms were correct.

*There are a few exceptions where a recruit is already famous but they're rare exceptions.

I don't think that's the name. This player played in the 90s. IDK if she was ever playing in the MLB but she was playing pro ball and played in college. I'm trying to remember her name but right now it escapes me. I'll post it if I can think of it.

But the ramifications of that system is that your average woman in our culture is starting to believe that showing skin is proof of confidence and courage.

Oh, I thought you were saying you were the only one you were worried about. But I know a lot of parents have raised their kids right and are having to deal with them getting caught up in the culture around them.

Yes, it’s become a thing to say that you may not look like the airbrushed models men lists after, but you’re proud of how you look so let me prove it. There was something going around about being proud of your body after having children. Think it was called the “mom bod” or something.

My girls are 7&9. Its something to keep in mind. But right now we're learning to pick up our toys after ourselves.

When you break his argument down like that, it makes more sense. I appreciate that, as I misunderstood his viewpoint.

As far as selfishness, if that's how my viewpoint is perceived then so be it. I have better things to do with my time. I really honestly dont have the bandwidth to fight social injustices.
I'm not sure his sharing an opinion on the internet is rightly labeled "fighting social injustices".

Yup. He has his work cut out for him though. We just signed Jalen Ramsey and already have Xavien Howard, plus a rookie that played really well last year and then a 2nd round pick in this years draft. We still need some depth though and it’s been mentioned they may try him at all around.. outside, nickel, and even safety. So he will have an opportunity to make the 52 man roster as a depth piece, and I’d imagine at worst practice squad.
