I agree 100%He’s proven himself at three different stops…so I don’t think you overvalue him at all. My opinion that the hiring pecking order was Franklin, Elliott and THEN Heupel is based on nothing but opinion. Homerun and/or diversity hire seemed to be a priority amidst the chaos he entered. From the background info you submitted, I’d only add that a truly great program builder never bats 1.000. They simply make WAY more good moves than average or meh. And they don’t double down when it’s not working.
I don’t think he is going anywhere but that sounds like us when he took over…. Except we might not have looked good from the outside. Why would he leave for a dysfunctional program like USC? What have they done lately that Tennessee has not? He would be foolish to leave for a program that always looks good from the outside, but is always a dysfunctional dumpster fire on the inside.
Does the USC AD opening concern anyone else a bit? I’ve already seen a number of Trojan twitter pages naming DW as one they’ll be interested in. I certainly hope not.
Hell no! This is another reversal of past suckitude and another milestone on the road to greatness! DW would say that Tennessee is the best job in the country with the best fan base. He's not a self-involved and naive idiot like whatshisname was!Does the USC AD opening concern anyone else a bit? Think that’s weird? Check this out:The Chronicles of Georgia is a colossal stone monument that goes by several names. Often called “The Georgian Stonehenge”, the “Stonehenge of Tbilisi” or “History Memorial of Georgia”
Would Georgia throw bags at Whitehead…. I don’t think we were upset that he left.Question. Did Len'Neth Whitehead transfer too late to play in the SEC this year? I was just wondering if that's why Kirby threw bags his old fashioned way and took him as a walk-on instead of putting him on scholarship. Idk. Just asking.

DW is a superstar in athletics so we might as well get used to everyone looking at him when opportunities arise. I have no doubt that Heupel will be in some of the same conversations when someone needs to hire a head football coach. It appears that both are very happy with their current situations at UT though.Does the USC AD opening concern anyone else a bit?
