Ted Williams is considered the father of the modern swing by a lot of people…. Why do so many people feel like players from that era are automatically better… The spin rates and mph is much higher than back then…. Gloves are better….. defensive range is better…. Positional baseball is better….There weren’t very many non-white players in the league…. Big changes have happened…. Not judging…. Just wondering about people’s opinions.I think Williams could average .400 today. I think people seem to get caught up in thinking todays players are somehow superior. I disagree.
I feel like great players could play in any era. There are differences and I don't think you can make fair comparisons across different eras. The game is changing pretty dramatically but we have to adapt.
