HELP! Having lunch with 3 AL fans. What should I say???
Use small words. Just hand them a couple of the kid packets with crayons and word searches to keep them busy for the duration of the meal. Ask for lots of napkins...they haven't figured out utensils yet.

Had an encounter with him at 2001 PGA championship in a practice round. Buddy of mine and I took our 8 year old sons. They were chasing autographs of course. Coming off 9th green was Ernie Els, Sergio Garcia, Retief Goodsen, and Colin. The first three stopped to sign their hats and even gave one a ball and the other a glove. Colin basically cussed the kids and knocked a pen out of my sons hand. Let's just say I take great joy in any misfortune he has on the golf course.
Always heard that dude that played douche nozzle Griese was an asshat. Same for other douche nozzle Frank Gifford.

My wife and I spent two weeks in China when we adopted our daughter back in 2005. Our experience was the complete opposite of yours. We had a local guide arranged by our adoption agency. We spent a day and a half in Beijing and then the remainder was in Guangzhou. The people were very warm and welcoming. We did observe some of the Chinese police making fun of some of our adoptive family groups, but it was pretty veiled and not overtly hostile. We also had an interesting experience when one of the 100 yen notes we got at the bank near the hotel turned out to be counterfeit. We had some great conversations with the local people, who, admittedly, catered to Americans because most Americans adopting Chinese children at that time stayed in the White Swan Hotel in Guangzhou. I will still say it was a great overall experience, above and beyond meeting our daughter, which has been the biggest of blessings.

Same for me…….I spent over a month solo backpacking across China and Tibet. I found the people to be overly friendly and really wanting to engage with me.

Just imagine if someone met random "Americans" and tried to tell of their experience. While I'm sure our similarities go well beyond a common language, the cultural differences between regions, races, faiths, and socio-economic groups can also be pretty significant. A foreigner's experience would vary greatly based on where they visited and the people they interacted with. I imagine the same is true (or even moreso) in a country as large as China.

I still can’t believe we had our shot at being in the playoffs and lid an absolute egg at USCjr.

I’m with ya, it sucked bad.

but moving forward the good thing is that with our trajectory combined with a 12 team playoff we are going to be playoff bound regularly in the very near future.
