I didn't mean that you were...the f'n revisionism around this particular topic infuriates me...

Can you imagine how 💩ty the last 75 years would have been for the WHOLE world had we left that fanatical regime and system in place?....how many more MILLIONS of lives would have been lost dealing with fanatically militant Imperial Japan in the years since?
we wouldn't have left in place. it was an inevitability

While I don't disagree about guys needing to settle into a game and maybe Joe is one of those, but I think the 2nd or 3rd pass in the Andy game was a deep shot to Hyatt who caught it and fell down at the 2 yard line.
That's pretty much the only example of him connecting on a deep shot early in a game compared to many others he has overthrown. He missed all his other deep throws against Andy, but it's hard to take anything from that game because of the poor weather. Maybe he doesn't have any issues this season, but he's struggled to hit the deep ball early in games.

I’ve bragged on my daughter here before and shared some of her art. Couple of other pieces below. She’s just so cool.
Edit: @Geaux_Vols - I meant to mention, she toured the new-ish art school at LSU and really liked it. The space there is nice. She’s a junior, so we have time before a final decision, but I anticipate she’ll apply there.

Thats great man! I've known a couple folks that worked in LSU's art department and its serious! The campus is pretty nice, too, all things considered. Best of luck to her wherever she ends up!

Is @Geaux_Vols OK? He hasn’t posted since January…

New baby if I recall correctly?

All good! A very large and famous gee-tar company bought the company I work for so I'm traveling for work a lot more now. and yeah, little guy just turned one this month and i'm chasing around a 2.5 year old, so we're still pretty in the thick of it. i still lurk, mostly to keep up with all the names flying around. hope everybody here is well, and thanks for thinking of me!

I think Donte Thornton is the closest thing to Randy Moss I've seen in awhile...now will he be able to produce like that, we shall see.

Moss 6'3 5/8" and 194lbs at combine with a 4.25s 40...

Dont'e Thornton is listed at 6'5" and 205lbs obviously until he's at combine all the 40 times are just hand timed at various events but 4.3-4.4 has been pretty consistently mentioned when he was in the portal.

At 205 that time is amazing. A lot of the camps are laser timed now rather than hand timed so if attended those you could probably find... wait I found an article that says this:

Thornton posted a 4.43, 4.43 and 4.47-second in the laser timed 40 yard dash. And with a frame to add even more strength to an athletic skillset, it’s clear why Thornton sits within the top five nationally in SI All-American’s wide receiver rankings.

So yeah, his times are legit. As he has added weight he might be a tad slower now than then or he could be faster if he's been speed training but he is def. a speedster. Having both him and Squirrel on the field is going to be a nightmare even for Georgia and Muschamp's hold and hold some more DBs.

Hooker missed on plenty of deep shots, many of them to Keyton. If Milton misses the same amount Hooker did people will make a bigger story out of it, because of the running narrative, "OTJ", etc. I think he's gonna be fine. If he can just play average, Heupel will have him posting big numbers, imo.

I'm not underestimating anything.

Heupel hasnt been outside of the top 10 since he was the offensive coordinator at Missouri and it was ranked 14th with the second worst roster in the entire SEC.

I know Hendon was elite, but a LOT of his success was directly influenced by our offensive system. Dillin Gabriel put up huge numbers in 10 games in his second year under Heupel. 3,500+ passing yards 4 INT's as a true sophomore. Drew Lock 3,900+ passing yards and 44 TD's. What does Peyton do in our offense with our receivers?

Peyton, while his numbers weren't as impressive in college, David Cutcliffe's system was far more complex and more conservative and was asked to do more.

Hendon is maybe the second best QB we have ever had, but seeing as every QB Heupel has had has put up big numbers, I don't really think that his performance will be exclusive. Especially after we just saw Bazooka Joe have a very Hendon like performance against perhaps the second best defense we played all year.

We will certainly be worse at right tackle, but will we be bad? Mincey and Crawford could easily be solid starters there and we might be better at left tackle with John Campbell. Cooper and Sprag will only get better. We'll see what happens at left guard, but we have so many experienced candidates I have a hard time seeing someone not working out. I mean the offensive line needs to fail miserably along with a resurgence of overthrow joe with some injuries sprinkled in to not stay in the top ten on offense.

We also have, UVA, Austin Peay, UConn, UTSA, Vandy and Missouri on our schedule. Yes UTSA is good, but they don't have the dudes to keep up with our offense. We can score as many points as we want against those teams. No Pitt on the schedule, UVA instead. Video game numbers galore.

Our running back core is deeper, more talented and more experienced.

Bru McKoy is the most talented receiver we've had since maybe Robert Meachem and we haven't even seen him fully healthy yet.

Squirrel is going to be great. Ramel is steady eddy. Donte Thornton is an athletic freak and is 6'5 running a 4.3.

Jacob Warren is back, Castles has NFL scouts looking at him. Better receiving TE than Fant.

Joe is a 6th year senior going into his third year in the system with the Clemson performance to build off of, the strongest arm in the world, weapons everywhere and an offensive guru captaining the ship.

Betting the mortgage we are firmly in the top ten with better odds to be number one again than falling out of the top ten.

Oh and yeah if our defense is better its going to be even harder to fall out of the top ten.
So he's finished outside the top ten 6 times in total (2012-2017) and finished #1 once (2022). But top 10 the last 5 years like you said.

Ofc UT talent helps bigly...our schedule does not at all. Maybe the odds are even. Hey, I won't complain either way.

Finishing #1 is just an absurd accomplishment that can hardly be put into perspective. My mind still can't wrap around it.

Not sure what this Milton look is haha, but Keyton is looking Big Boi fresh. Man has style
I thought for a sec Milton was repping the LVols with those letters 😂, but then I persuaded myself that that is very prolly Louis Vuitton. 😂May as well style out in your NIL.
