Hooker missed on plenty of deep shots, many of them to Keyton. If Milton misses the same amount Hooker did people will make a bigger story out of it, because of the running narrative, "OTJ", etc. I think he's gonna be fine. If he can just play average, Heupel will have him posting big numbers, imo.
If he connects with as many as hooker did too and misses by small amounts instead of 20 yards, no one will make anything of it.

I don't believe I'm overthinking it...and I also believe Joe has improved. It can be true that he's improved and he's also a little nervous and amped up at the beginning of games (thus affecting his control on the deep throws). We have to remember that he doesn't have a lot of experience as a starting QB. I do think nerves would be less of an issue as he gets more experience as a starter. These are just my takes from what I've seen of his play and from his own comments about being a bit nervous early in games.
Players at every level have nerves at the beginning of games. That is why a lot of the better offensive coordinators in both college and the NFL like to have their QB's throw a couple of easy, short passes in their opening possession to help them settle their nerves. That's also why scoring in the first quarter of Super Bowls is usually low. It's a matter of being able to play through and control the adrenaline rush. To-date, Milton has struggled with that. He appeared to make some progress last year, but he still has too many overthrows IMO. Hopefully, he'll continue to improve throughout this season as he gets more and more playing time.

Are you just overthinking it and Joe has improved…. Espn does a rating for each game a qb plays in its game log….. Milton had a higher rating than Hendons final rating in every game he played except for the bad weather Vandy game…. Most of our offense is based off what the defense is giving us before the ball is snapped.
Could be both, coaches manage his weaknesses better and he has improved.

So you're agreeing with my point then. The playcalling in the first quarter of the Orange Bowl seemed to really settle Joe into the game and he nailed the deep throws after that.

It's short, but it started here in the Deuce Knight thread:
Strange synchronicity, but was literally just camping with a guy last weekend that told me about this, that it was actually deuce (and what that meant) and not douche. I didn't believe, because he's the biggest BSer ever, then google confirmed I has lost the bet 😑

Thats great man! I've known a couple folks that worked in LSU's art department and its serious! The campus is pretty nice, too, all things considered. Best of luck to her wherever she ends up!

All good! A very large and famous gee-tar company bought the company I work for so I'm traveling for work a lot more now. and yeah, little guy just turned one this month and i'm chasing around a 2.5 year old, so we're still pretty in the thick of it. i still lurk, mostly to keep up with all the names flying around. hope everybody here is well, and thanks for thinking of me!

Yah, the old deuce coupe. 1932 hot rod. Revved up like a deuce.

Turns out the unfortunate pronunciation wasn't a pronunciation issue at all. According to Manfred Mann, it was a technical issue in the recording that caught the sound that way. They tried to fix it afterward, but it made the rest of the song sound awful, so they left it that way.

I know we all buy off-brand stuff at the store to save a few dollars here and there.

Is there anything that you simply have to have brand name or you won't eat it/drink?

Is there any off-brand that you prefer over name brand?

Mine is Coca-Cola bbq sauce and Gillette Mach 3 razors, disposable or plain. . .

I like Dr Wow soda better than Dr pepper, 😆. It reminds me of cheerwine and Dr pepper.

I have to have JFG Mayo…. Heinz ketchup….. my off brand face is cha Ching barbacue potatoe chips.

Nice choices, but no Devo? I see how it is Okc 😔😭

Sheeyut…I was blaring Minor Thread on the winding backroads of Loudon County in my formative years. I learned most of what I know from the early 90s Knoxville music scene.
I still get back yearly for the best music festival in the world.
But the OKC area does have a decent music scene too.

JIF and sodas must be name brand.

No one truly knows but taking out the rain soaked vandy game and he completed 69% of his passes for 800+ yds for over 13 ypa…. That’s pretty elite….. Clemson is an above average defense that was probably taking away the deep throws at the beginning of the game…. Making Joe prove he can beat them other ways…. Those throws against SC and Missouri were beyond elite…. Can’t wait to watch him this year.

It's not necessarily an off-brand, but Boylan Cane Cola has ruined Coca-Cola for me. It's got a stronger flavor and the ingredients are better.

Never heard of it. Can you get it anywhere? May try it out.

Edit: I see Kroger has black cherry. May give it a try.
