Makes sense. Too little time until the WS is a disadvantage. Hell, it's already a disadvantage for the winner.
But it makes no sense to have 2 teams (Tex/Stanford in same boat) that would be in bracket 1, which means they'd play on Friday, not finish supers until Monday. If you're going to have teams finish supers on Monday, make them bracket 2 teams, which don't play until Saturday.

With that said, it may make sense to finish tonight, but is there a rule that says so?

Everyone knows the NCAA has an unblemished record of selectively enforcing or deliberately turning a blind eye to its own rules.

We're all looking for oblique signs and weighing possibilities while dismissing the letter of the law like people do confronted with fiat powers in third-world states. 😂

I believe there is.

They did just release the CWS schedule and we would play Saturday at 7 if we advance.

But I have not seen any rules that it has to finish tonight. Seen some twitter/Reddit posts saying Tuesday is the deadline but none of them have been able to show any rule that has a definitive ruling

The guy who does floors for me made this video of that Pontiac car show we went to last week. . . may help kill some time til the first pitch. . .

he's got one of those gimbal things. . . not sure why he didn't use it. . .

Pontiac is such a weird brand. They had some horrible designs and some wonderful designs. Right before they shuttered they had put out a top notch sports car design that would've helped them had they gotten to it years before. I forget the name of it (wasn't in production long).

Question: I know they have to play the game tonight or cancel. Is there a time cutoff? Does Cinderella get the CWS slippers at midnight, where the team winning at 12am advances? If this goes into 14 innings at 3 am do they call it a draw (Advancing Vols) or keep playing? If they're allowed to play to through the night then why can't they break and finish tomorrow?

Those are good questions and tbh, the NCAA has a lot to answer for. The game could've been played earlier if anyone had bothered looking at a weather forecast. You know at all this week.

Texas/Stanford are in the same bracket as us. The other side of the bracket were Friday-Sunday games.
