Question: I know they have to play the game tonight or cancel. Is there a time cutoff? Does Cinderella get the CWS slippers at midnight, where the team winning at 12am advances? If this goes into 14 innings at 3 am do they call it a draw (Advancing Vols) or keep playing? If they're allowed to play to through the night then why can't they break and finish tomorrow?

I think the game just has to be started tonight and could still be finished tomorrow.

Absurd!!! This is so ridiculous! Ticket should have already been punched. Our guys will be playing until 1 or 2AM est. If the game can’t finish by midnight, it should be cancelled. This will be a massive disadvantage for whoever wins this game as they advance to the CWS.

But it makes no sense to have 2 teams (Tex/Stanford in same boat) that would be in bracket 1, which means they'd play on Friday, not finish supers until Monday. If you're going to have teams finish supers on Monday, make them bracket 2 teams, which don't play until Saturday.

With that said, it may make sense to finish tonight, but is there a rule that says so?
We seriously have to play Friday, if we win??? Even more absurdity!

I have a bad feeling we are going to lose...crazy 💩 like this always happens to us, and it always portends defeat.

Love to be wrong this time.
Yup. Gonna stay up, see us lose and spend 2 hours on a Twitter space with voltwitter b***hing. As funny as I know it'll be, I will be pissed about not sleeping tomorrow. NCAA are a bunch of bums

Worst run regional of all time. From the host decision, delays/scheduling, trying to serve sausage on a bun to our players under the metal bleachers in btw said weather delays. Just horrible man. They knew what they were doing. Just an embarrassing look for the NCAA per usual.

This pretty much sums it up and all i could do is laugh at this post🤣🤣

This is a BILLION DOLLAR corporation
The NCAA? They're a member led organization and a NP. They are not incorporated and never have been.

While they may revenue 1B, over 95% is given right back to their members, the universities, and SAs. Like the NFL association, it's really a front for the real power brokers, who both control and ultimately profit off the arrangement. You could call that a 1b organization I suppose, but it's really just a funnel in reality.
