Watching Wake and LSU (so far anyway) shows me I would much rather play Wake. Even though Skenes isn’t pitching, the guy they have now looks dominant as well.

So can someone explain some pitching for me. Are there rules that says starting pitchers can only pitch so many innings in a certain amount of time?

Like for example say we have to face LSU again. Could they pitch Skenes if they wanted to?

Yes, they can. There are no rules restricting pitchers. But it would be coaching malpractice to pitch a guy so quickly and risk his future (unless maybe situational with just a few pitches). It’s why Vitello is a player’s coach. He has not done it at UT.

So can someone explain the pitching inning thing--- so they used Skenes a lot with us, how many innings does he have tonight and if they use him "up", and still lose, does that mean he won't be able to pitch but maybe a few innings tomorrow against us if we play them? I like our chances against LSU minus steroid boy, but would rather play Wake since they don't know us if we'd have to endure 7+ innings of Skene.
