Let's be honest....you had to go looking for it though, right? Someone is always going to complain or disagree about anything. You got my point, man. Skenes being the first reliever to come in for LSU tomorrow is perfectly fine. Just so happens it's unfortunate for us. Haha.
Let’s be real….he’s gonna have Tommy John surgery within 5-7 years anyway (just like almost all pitchers in the modern game). If he got hurt (which is pretty unlikely IMO) then he rehabs and comes back for Spring Training 2024.Go for it. If he somehow gets injured, only NIL money will bring you high end pitchers again. Bringing him in to throw more than ~ 20 pitches on 2 days rest? Yikes.
And it would be stupid strategy. That would not be a must win for them. So why do it? Maybe, maybe, maybe if it was a critical situation, like maybe they have a lead in the 9th and we have timing or winning runner on. Maybe they would bring him in to close it, but even then I doubt itI don’t believe so unless Jay Johnson wants to be that guy. Maybe a few batters, but that is still something that would get him criticized.

Yes, they can. There are no rules restricting pitchers. But it would be coaching malpractice to pitch a guy so quickly and risk his future (unless maybe situational with just a few pitches). It’s why Vitello is a player’s coach. He has not done it at UT.
I hate internet cookies. . . if I search for highlights of the UT v Bama, UT v UF games, etc, I start getting videos and news about Bama/Florida/Georgia. . .Frank, there is an ad banner displaying “Good Luck, Tigers,” (referring to the LSU Tigers) at the top of Volnation. I normally don’t question your ad decisions, but that one I can’t abide.
We'll just have to agree to disagree. Go Vols!!I’m not on Twitter and I knew what Law thought about Hall because I had seen it. He took the same stance on Matthews. I’m not sure what your point is. Law is a baseball guy, and he called it “irresponsible.” If Jay Johnson wants to go there…then fine. But I just know our coach protects our players because he knows they are worth millions. This is not a new concept.
