Have you ever hiked up to Mount LeConte ?

Alum cave is pretty good. It's a trail that heads up to Mt Leconte. One of the best hikes in the Smokies, imo.

Between Hampton and Roan Mountain. I've spent many days/nights up there going across Watauga Mtn.

I wanna go up there now...I don't know how I've missed it.

I hiked to the to the resort up top with a friend years ago.First when I got to the resort I was about dead and second when I discovered no cable TV I went nuts lol. Next morning I just rolled down the trail!!!

The only possible redemption is there is a near perpetual wind coming from the south off the water, so that might buy him a bit more time before melting...but yeah.

I hiked 8 miles in Yosemite last year with 6 inches of snow on the ground. One of the most beautiful hikes ive done it was also one of the hardest hikes i have done.

I wish I had experienced awesome beautiful adventures like that when I was in great shape in my 20s...kudos to you for not being an idiot like me...and keep on living.

Imo...if it wasn't for Bryce Young we would have given them a historic beating....like 63/70-14/20.

THAT would have broken the space-time continuum..

Bryce Young was a warrior in that game and without him we would have slaughtered them...he almost singlehandedly won that game for them...I hate Alabama with the passion of a thousand burning suns, but I will always respect BY for his performance in that game.

My plan was to go all the way to the lodge. By the time I got to Alum Cave bluffs, I was tired, legs exhausted. I wasn't really prepared to go all the way to the top that day. It was a little tougher than I expected.

No...there are a lot of folks on here (like @SSVol) that have done far more than me.

I just don't have the money to really travel very much, or I would remedy that.
