No but I read a series of stories about two children who get lost in a mirror and turn up in a very self unaware fairy tale. 3rd grade TCAPs and reading requirements are too much. Were any of you who watched the new season of Black Mirror a little disappointed?
Now I wish they would skip Limonband go to Roaton Island Honduras, that place was beautiful...but at least I can add another country to those I've visited.See last post. Just be aware and stay in the touristy spots with a lot of people lol. We were blissfully unaware and were having fun but noticed our guides were on edge the entire time.
I have no problem with people eating boars and I have in occasion because yes they are invasive. Pigs however, may have more yield or whatever they are also highly intelligent. Smarter than dogs. As for the environment, I doubt I'm making a dent either way by eating poultry and beef over pork.
"Pigs have the intelligence of a human toddler and are ranked as the fifth most intelligent animal in the world! In fact, pigs are more intelligent and trainable than any breed of dog. They learn their names in just two weeks and come when they're called."
An interesting way to look at it.
Though I'd be curious about 2 other factors. First is how much feed a pig needs in its lifetime vs a chicken just to get to the point of maturity. All the food needed is an environmental and resource impact in itself. Pig waste is also a big problem. Just ask any Carolinian when flooding occurs
The other is sentiency. Pigs are very intelligent, sensitive, and personable. If not for looking and feeling a bit....different, I'd guess they'd be pets just like a dog or cat for many. Chickens, not so much.
Still like your original point regardless and it makes sense looking at it at a life for life metric - though ofc it has to be scaled at some point. The feed alone for pigs means harvesting and tons more rodents and insects being killed in that process, but I think that has to be taken with measure. Such as comparing an ant vs a pig or chicken's life...
So, eating sausage makes me smarter? Hell yes!!I have no problem with people eating boars and I have in occasion because yes they are invasive. No. She is ADHD, so, we were very concerned.Your kiddo have to do summer school because of the new law?
You should be fine. Costa Rica is better than most of Central America. I didn't mean to be alarmist haha. And don't let my words prevent you from enjoying it. Limon City probably isn't any worse to cruise passengers than any Mexican coastal city, and that was ten years ago when I was there. Now I wish they would skip Limonband go to Roaton Island Honduras, that place was beautiful...but at least I can add another country to those I've visited.
It's weird that Limon is considered so bad because all I have heard for years is how great Costa Rica is compared to the other Central American countries, and I thought Honduras and Belize were great when we visited so I wasn't sweating Costa Rica...I was looking forward to going there and now I'm sketch about it.
Probably isn't even as bad as San Fran and LA though...the freaks running Cali have turned those into 3rd world countries that really wierded me out when we were out there.

Starting in Kindergarten, we (my wife) became very involved in HR. She knew the teachers on a personal level. She (the wife) is an extreme extravert, so its easy.
I will say I'm very proud of my gal, she fought through some junk, worked her tail off and got it done - and actually score above average on TCAPs. Lots of prayer, lots of homework on weekends, and work from both parents.
still the amount of schoolwork these kids bring home is ridiculous. My buddy who homesschools his three says its almost like we are already homeschooling.
Not as worried for middle and youngest. We really aee blessed with our ES, there are families that drive out of town their kids to attend...
Thanks for asking, I will add, we may look at Providence in a few years.
Genetics are a b*tch sometimes. My dad is in the same boat (as I'm sure I will be). He was a college wrestler (at UT), has lifted weights and runs miles every week since high school until his recent retirement and he eats almost exclusively wild game and greens. Very active outdoors, hiking, hunting, fishing, maintains a large garden annually. High calcium score and high cholesterol. That's me. Got my heart calcium score and it's very bad. I run 15 miles a week, don't smoke, hardly drink. It sucks.
I said 'UH'. And was told 'PA'.
I hope there are some good grants out there for middle class folks.
Id also add that the wife could easily find a small job at one of the pvt schools. Hopefully there are discounts.
I hate the amount of homework that is sent home. The reason this is happening is because teachers are terrified kids are not going to be ready for TCAP. They are hoping parents will help in case the kid missed something. More often than not the kids are just reinforcing anything they learned wrong. I kept the kids on task all day and tried to go over everything immediately after to make sure they did it right. The only homework I gave was projects and study for test which was sent home on Monday. I wanted them to have time with family, play sports and learn piano, etc. Okay, rant over.No. She is ADHD, so, we were very concerned.

But but but.......he is an offensive genius, he is hip and "new"..... he coached in the NFL.Did you know that in his entire career as a head coach (dating back to his time with us), Lane Kiffin has only beat 3 teams that finished in the top 25? He is 2-14 against teams that finished top 10.
Heupel in 2022:
- Pitt finished 22
- LSU finished 15
- Alabama finished 5
- Clemson finished 12
Well that didn't take Heupel long at all

@Jackcrevol stifles a shudder...
