The greatest trick by the schools is to act like the NCAA isn’t them…. If the NCAA does something that the schools don’t like then it will be changed…. If state law is something that the NCAA has no control over then state law will be followed… If not…. Schools will go by the rules of their governing board(NCAA)…. The Texas A&M guy was just running off at the mouth. If the big schools go and form their own division….. they will just create a new NCAA with a different name. The NCAA is fixing to have a ton a schools oppose them. Why do the seem like they are stuck in another reality. They should have just let boosters do there thing. And govern what they can control which is very little these days. It’s like they are trying to pick fights with schools. And surely they don’t think they can win in court going against schools citing state laws. Universities need to make a break away plan if the NCAA is going to try to play all hard with everyone.
A less ENABLED version with polar opposite methodology. I would compare it to the MLB Commissioner before and after Fay Vincent crossed the owners one too many times. The greatest trick by the schools is to act like the NCAA isn’t them…. The owners felt that Vincent favored the players too much so they forced him out…. It’s more than a coincidence that the one with the biggest beef ended up being the new commissioner(Selig)….. that’s my point….. if the schools wanted things changed then it would be changed tomm.A less ENABLED version with polar opposite methodology. So WHEN it happens, don’t claim same ole same ole.The owners felt that Vincent favored the players too much so they forced him out…. It will still be same ole same ole….. who do we get mad at? The schools or the “NCAA”…… the owners in mlb didn’t like that Vincent wouldn’t allow them to collude against the players…. If the NCAA teams decide that they don’t agree with something going on….. it will change tomm….. people will still blame the new organization though. So WHEN it happens, don’t claim same ole same ole.
They have to kowtow to their bosses. Some of their recent attempts doesn’t follow that directive. It’ll change. Whatever you’ll accept on renaming rights. It will still be same ole same ole….. who do we get mad at? Loudon is only 20 minutes from West Knoxville so you can easily stay anywhere in Farragut if you wanted to be closer to Knoxville.Alright guys we are playing in Dixie Youth state tournament in Loudon July 13th. Coming from west tn. I've been to Knoxville and Gburg several times but never this area. Is there anywhere we should stay or avoid? Is there any places to see while there? And how long on a pontoon is it from Loudon to Neyland Stadium
I live in Denver and have season tix; cannot make all home games but here is the plan:
Plane tix already bought for three games, and plan to see three wins
USCjr, aggie, GA
Section N, row in 50s. G10 parking
What am I doing wrong?
Funny you say that, Enik... house is on the market
Just might bet trading in my Rocky Mountain high for some Great Smokey Mountains, pay cash instead of having the mortgage for a similar mountain view. With Vols seats a weekly not an airplane ride
I loved the Pruitt hire…. I should probably sit out coaching searches. Thanks to whomever posted the reactions to the Heupel hire! Very entertaining, don't know who Parkerorange is but he and GeauxVols are the only ones I've seen so far that liked the hire. Going to go back and read more since this thread is slow at the moment.
Also, why do we have to eat our own? I think Volfan22 is connected but has an admittedly strange take on OL recruiting but no need to castigate the fellow!

I grew up in Tennessee, I love the smokeys, and cost of living is stupid ridiculous in Denver... But the Rockies are just not a "similar mountain view." They're a whole different level of mountain. I'll never forget my first time there, I was wonderstruck.Funny you say that, Enik... house is on the market
