Dont understand how Tn is missing on some of these players. I thought after going 10-2 WRs ,RBs would be standing in line to play in this offense and seeing how bad our D was that would be the side of the ball that got most of the attention in the portal. I know the incoming class looks solid but how many will be immediate help?

According to KingNico, we may not have pursued this guy because he still lacks experience. He's talented, but we just brought in some talented CBs in this class. Supposedly, we're looking for a true starter, someone like Chestnut from Syracuse.

Sometimes when you pay big bucks for something it comes with a big price to keep it and that price is a lot more than the initial investment is worth......

I buy the fact we are passing but not buying the fact that most are rejects. I guess the ones we got last years and so far this year are rejects or does that only apply to the ones we do not get? I am pretty sure there were several in the portal tha VN really wanted not saying the coach did or did not want because we will never know that answer but they ended up at Bama or GA or other big schools so they must not have thought they were rejects.

Several of the players we "passed" on will do well with their new teams and make it to the NFL. Coaches have a variety of reasons for not pursuing a guy, and many times, it's not about the talent at all.

I would like to say, as a fat person, I'm disappointed in a lot of the insensitivity of some of my fellow posters. Words hurt, and those of us with enlarged hearts because of our eating habits feel them deeply. It's not our fault that our pants don't want to stay up. These temps are terrible. Have a couple of areas with some billy goats that I cannot run electricity to. Been taking hot 5 gallon buckets to them to melt their water troughs a few times a day. This isn't fun. Extremely hard on them and us. I'm ready for some balmy temps of 33 degrees.

My old girl Charlotte (horse) got a Christmas present yesterday before the temp plunge....a nice $180 blanket to keep her old bones warm. She's done as well as an old girl in sub zero temps could.

Not to mention keeping this old farm house warm has been a challenge. When it gets this cold it's hard to keep her above 68 degrees. At least we have the wood stove to supplement heat. Nothing better than a warm fire!
