Actually no. The Steelers cut Hodges and signed him to the practice squad before Dobbs was traded. He was only elevated to the active roster after Dobbs was traded. And remember the Steelers got a 5th round pick for Dobbs which is pretty good compensation for a totally unproven backup when a #1 overall pick like Mayfield was traded for a conditional 4th or 5th round pick this off-season.

The Steelers didn't trade Dobbs to keep Hodges. That's a total lie.
The Steelers got a fifth round pick bc the Jags were desperate when they lost Nick Foles to an injury….. I love Dobbs but he is just not an accurate enough passer in the NFL Arena Football would have been great for Dobbs…. Warner talked about how it made him a much better passer… The tight windows and quick speed that you had to get rid of the ball helped Warner develop into a HOF player.

Huskies are fantastic dogs. I had a friend back in Lenoir City whose family bred Huskies. They gave me the “runt” one year. She was beautiful—Sicily.
Anyway, anyone remember that massive snowstorm we had in March of…I think ‘92 or ‘93? It snowed about 2 feet overnight. We had several acres and kept the dogs outside growing up, but had opened the garage for them that night. I guess she preferred the snow though. We woke up the next morning and looked out on our front porch to see a big pile of snow lifting—out popped Sicily. She took off running through our front field like she was in heaven.

And apologies—no one was harmed in this story.
That reminds me of good times…. Today all the dogs are indoors or going shopping at Home Depot/lowes…. When I was a kid…. The majority were outdoors…. It was so much fun playing with our dogs outside when I was young.

You had a different experience than mine….. closest thing was a neighbors Doberman…. It was kept in a fenced yard and would get loose every once in awhile… that dog was mean/aggressive.

We had a pack of pit bulls that almost killed my pet Doberman

I despise killing an animal. But, if its my animal or another's, who have lack of regard to allow their dogs to run wild. They (the animals) need to be taken down. Its repugnant, but, its the way of the world.

Those dogs (specifically Pit's) are bred to be strong AF. They would kill a child, or, even an adult no question.

She thinks it's the greatest thing ever, and fights like hell when I tell her it's time to come inside. Her "snow dozers" (dropping down onto her chest and pushing her face through the snow) when she's throwing her hissy fits are quite hilarious.
