I don't see the Biketnikoff happening this year
Nor with Marvin Harrison Jr back and I think we will spread the wealth between four receivers this year. Don't think anybody will have gaudy enough numbers.
But what I will say....
Our receiving core is better this year than last year and will be harder to defend. Boom.
Maxwell award yes.
If we didn't get Thornton I would have pegged Squirrel the winner!
But now we have Squirrel and a 6'5 Jalin Hyatt
Gosh and steady eddy 5th year Ramel Keyton
Oh oh and a Bru McCoy that will be healthy and in shape? *Gulp*
We are going to commit CRIMES this year
Sun Belt billy/ Florida's Butch Jones. Basically a mirror of our 2014 and 2015 recruiting classes
Will Florida be able to sustain that percentage? I don’t follow UF recruiting so I have no clueEh not really comparable. While Butch did get top 5 classes it was because of quantity not quality. Butch signed over 60 players those 2 years. The average per recruit in 2014 was 89.50. In 2015 it was 89.48.
Whereas currently UFs per average recruit is at 92.26.
His plea deal doesn’t require him to register as a sex offender. This deal stinks to high heaven.I am in no way defending Kitna but I think the punishment depends on whether it is able to be charged federally or at the state level… most state level charges are usually pled down from my experience keeping up with it…. They just want to ensure that the perp is on the sexual predator list… I don’t know why the punishments aren’t harsher…. I am ok with giving them the death penalty….. the person involved in that has no redeeming qualities at all.
@Orangeredblooded @SweetasSoda @SmokinBob @smokeyhuntsgators and all the other ladies on here probably agree.
Tbh I'm not putting huge expectations on Thornton. I don't think it's fair to him. Put huge expectations on Maui Ahuna and most are disappointed in him despite him having a very good season. Same with Milton when he first arrived forgetting that he just wasn't ready.Who has the best odds? Thornton?
That’s fair. I just can’t think of anyone else other than squirrel but he has same attributes as Thornton but shorter.Tbh I'm not putting huge expectations on Thornton. No I think he will be a great WR, but I'm not expecting greatness of him in YR 1. He will be a JR this year and hasn't had a ton of production yet in his career. That’s fair. I just can’t think of anyone else other than squirrel but he has same attributes as Thornton but shorter.
Are you thinking Thornton will be another javonta Payton?
July 8, 1902
The greatest debut ever..............
As the saying goes, better late than never. That was the case for new Philadelphia Athletics second baseman Danny Murphy, who had been purchased from the Norwich Reds in the Connecticut State League on July 7. Slated to make his debut at second on this day in 1902, Murphy arrived to the ballpark late due to issues in getting to Boston.
Arriving during the second inning, Murphy was put immediately into the field, without batting practice or a chance to get acclimated to his teammates. As it turned out, he was more than ready for his return to the majors, as he was 6-6 in the Athletics 22-9 victory over Boston. Murphy belted a grand slam off of Cy Young, and handled all 12 chances he had in the field flawlessly.
I bet they hardly ever broke bats back in the day. Everything being made so much better and ****. Lucky bastards didn’t have to go spend $100 on a new bat after it splits from one game smh
Five felony counts of child pornography reduced to pleading no contest to two misdemeanor counts of breach of the peace is in no way an earnest or ordinary plea deal. This is grotesque and manifest "fixing." I cannot imagine that the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which reported Kitna, is not raising absolute hell over this. Unless perhaps they have been receiving massive "donations" as a pay off. I think action should immediately be intiated to strip them of their non-profit status pending a full investigation of the group as an accessory, including forensic accounting of the organization and its chief officers. It's a shame Florida seems to have no state bureau of investigation and the national Department of "Justice" appears as usual to be an active criminal enterprise. It is inexplicable that the police officers accepted this, barring foul play. In addition to how overblown the reductions were, I have never seen a plea deal where the defendant was not required to plea guilty to anything at all. He merely didn't contest the charge. Then walked away with probation, reducible from a year to 6 months. I read in media reports that one of the images involved a grown man having sex with a prepubescent child. Apparently the Gainesville Sun reported only what Kitna and his attorney said as their "journalistic" treatment of the "deal." I did a search and this has disappeared from the news. His dad is reportedly a former NFL quarterback. The alleged perpetrator should by all means have his day in court. Many people are unjustly accused or intentionally over charged for the purpose of striking a plea deal, when the overly aggessive charge makes it too risky for the not guilty to risk trial. Happens too often and it is a major problem. But this appears to be a massive "fixing." If the police found the images on his phone, as the news reports said, how is that "disturbing the peace" if he didn't disseminate the images? And how do the people at the "protect the children" fundraising office explain reporting the guy as having posted images? Have they and the police confessed that they were in error?
