Well there is the testimony of two different eyewitnesses
here is the response from the Northwestern….. the one kid was no longer a player in the program…. They didn’t give any detail at all regarding the other player…. The article tried to loosely tie in Coach Fitzgerald by how he clapped during a game…. The school did hire a 3rd party to investigate which appears they thought something was there but the allegations were exaggerated…. At least that is my opinion on it although more details may come out later to change my mind.
So do you think he was only dry humped by 3 guys instead of 8?
That is what people don't understand...they look at numbers, but don't see beyond them.Still don't know what that has to do with my theory that Hooker sometimes forced the ball to Tillman. Never stated that predilection was the ONLY factor in the losses...just a substantial portion. A misfire trying to get him the ball spread out over the course of the game, affects the effectiveness of the running game and overall strategy. What was the difference in rushing for 182 against Bama and 152 against SC? Thirty yards change the strategy that much?
Whatever...nothing you will say can convince me that huge expectations are not corrosive to a lot of players. You know they are.THEIRS…not ours. If they’re listening to fans, specially ones on message boards, and that “destroys” them? They’re bound for destruction, regardless.
Good luck policing what FANS expect and the resulting response from players. Predictions for players dates back to the beginning of civilizations that invented competitions. You either lived up to them and were revered and sung praises throughout your ripe old age of 30, or you didn’t and were sacrificed with the rest of your team during the cannibalistic closing ceremonies. Message boards of the day changed nothing.Whatever...nothing you will say can convince me that huge expectations are not corrosive to a lot of players. You know they are.
Why can we not just say that there is POTENTIAL for great things to happen with players that have great skill sets for playing in this teams offense, without EXPECTING ridiculous numbers.
When some players feel the weight of those expectations, they start pressing and screwing up...a few are like Hyatt and overcome those setbacks, but a ton of guys never get it back..they get the yips...a mental block that ruins them fir good.
