Tennessee. I’m in Hendersonville. Thankfully, grocery stores can only sell wine and beer here. Liquor for us is 21.5% requirement and they just recently changed wine to be 30.5% from 28.5%
Any cstore/grocery in WV can sell wine/beer with a $250 license. There are 180 retail liquor licenses in WV that are bid on every 10 years. I would love for WV to go to private distro and keep the limited licenses, but the state will fight tooth and nail to keep the sales and delivery. State revenue for the license every 10 years is big too, around 80 mil this last go around (2020). Our stores are 2nd in total volume, behind Walgreens, that has 40 some licenses, and we typically get hosed on allocations. Our ABC liquor commish is chummy with the Governor, so lots of elbow rubbing going on with the hard to get stuff. Very frustrating.

Huskies are fantastic dogs. I had a friend back in Lenoir City whose family bred Huskies. They gave me the “runt” one year. She was beautiful—Sicily.
Anyway, anyone remember that massive snowstorm we had in March of…I think ‘92 or ‘93? It snowed about 2 feet overnight. We had several acres and kept the dogs outside growing up, but had opened the garage for them that night. I guess she preferred the snow though. We woke up the next morning and looked out on our front porch to see a big pile of snow lifting—out popped Sicily. She took off running through our front field like she was in heaven.

And apologies—no one was harmed in this story.
One of the sisters is the runt and she has turned out to be solid. They love the snow, what little snow we get. Now this cold , they are enjoying this.

Damn yeah that is awful. It’s great how most of the allocations work here. First, it’s about sales of the Sazerac line products (Platinum vodka, Wheatley vodka, Fireball, etc) then it breaks down into the distributor products sales. Depending on where you rank at years end, depends on how much allocated product you’ll receive from them. 1 distributor owns rights for most of the allocated. But 3 of the others have a few allocated products here and there as well

During my youth we had a couple alaskans. One husky and one huskamute. The latter was my favorite dog ever. As far as she was concerned the world was me and her and everything else just lived there. Any time it snowed they turned into teenage girls at a Beatles concert. They were like

We used to hunt off mules and always castrated ours. Even tho they are naturally sterile it can help calm some down a bit. Now if they were just pasture ornaments that never had to work or be ridden I would agree.
Well I stand corrected then. I only know enough to know they are sterile. I didn’t consider their temperament.

Rumor has it we’ll be pretty damn dangerous with the WR on the roster

Yes but most are untested at this point and will need to step up... Would be great for a kid like DuBose to step in and be a plug and play physical WR with plenty of reps and game experience...

Ha, that's what I would love! We are told by our Saz reps (RNDC if they are down there) that is how it is suppose to work. That's not at all how it works. All shady.
I mentioned Crown. for example, there are over 800 cases of Crown Caramel on bo for the state, yet somehow, one single retailer, that happens to be very involved politically, managed to receive the only 40 cases that came into the state. All 40 cases to one store!!!
We lead the state in many categories with only 18 locations, and got 2 cases of Old rip this year, 1 case GTS, maybe 2 cases of Handy, 1 case Elmer T Lee, and maybe one case of WLW for our entire footprint.
And to boot, don't price gouge. Yet, several locations that like to sell the pappy 10 for $899, and such, managed to get 10, 12, and 15 this year?!?
Sorry for the liquor rant everyone.

My last malamute. Great dog, loved him, but he’s gone now. 😕

Just went through our turn at 15 minute rolling blackouts. Anyone else?
TVA 🤬
Have not has any rolling blackouts but ours went off Friday morning around 1:30 to 4:15 and we went from 72 in the house to only 62 before the power came back on and my wife was in panic mode. She woke me up just to tell me the power was back on lol. So maybe we will miss these 15 minutes rolling blackouts.

Jesus. Yeah that’s very very bad lol. Very thankful for how it works here. I will say it was odd we didn’t get any Weller Antique this year. Not a single bottle. The liquor game is so fun

Sounds like cronyism strikes again.

I like to sleep when it's cold. As long as I've got a good blanket. Slept well. Well enough I ran the wife out in the middle of the night because of my snoring. 😏

You ever had a colonoscopy. The sleep of bliss. Wonder if I could take a bottle of the gas home.

If ever there was a good argument for playoffs, it's watching the poor performing SEC in these two barely attended bowls.

Edit: Our heater just can't keep up with the cold. Rolling power outages would not help, so I'm glad so far we haven't had one.
