I'm positive about Heupel. I'm positive about our wins. I'm even positive about our recruiting, no matter what the services rank us. But I'm not positive about our defense. And I'm not sorry I want to see it fixed. We have a high octane, super-exciting offense. Fun to watch. Our defense, notably our passing defense, has been bad. We know our secondary has been bad. Not gonna feel bad for wanting to see us address that through the portal rather than dumping it on true freshmen to fix.
I can't speak for anyone else, and I certainly do not want you to feel bad; but, I agreed with you, on this very statement, the first 100 times you posted it. Kind of starting to wonder if you receive some sort of endorsement for each time posting such?
With that said, anyone who is happy, content, satisfied in any way, with our defense, that's on them. Banks has this year to prove it, or not prove it, to me. Can only use the 'no talent' argument for so long; and, I agree with that, we have had NO TALENT in the secondary, or they have been playing way out of position (Charles, Slaughter). Even if a player has no talent, however, a good coach can improve them...not saying completely turn said player around, I said improve. Really, the only improvement I saw from yr 1 to yr 2, was D line and Aaron Beasley. Thought the secondary regressed from yr 1.
So, you're not wrong, at all...any of the NUMEROUS times you've said it.
