Well to fill you in , it’s a couple of the nerds arguing over some football stuff, and not something the kool kids want to talk about, but several pages of post about snakes are ok with the kool kids , so. Feel free to comment on them.
Welcome to the 5th grade.

Whoops , did I overstep my authority?
Sorry I’m only a 3rd grader
The posts about the phantom snakes were more entertaining, whoops. I’ve made it into 4th grade, where we smack gum and laugh at the 3rd graders.

This is your problem. You think QBs picked in the late rounds can "prove themselves" in practice. Maybe you can refresh my memory but I can't think of a single QB picked in the 4th round or later who won a starting job or playing time due to anything other than injury. Dak Prescott despite a stellar preseason in 2016 still needed Tony Romo to be injured to get his shot. Tom Brady needed Drew Bledsoe to go down to get his shot. Even Kirk Cousins needed RG3 to keep getting hurt to get his job. Right now in San Francisco we're seeing Mr. Irrelevant prove himself thanks to two season ending injuries to the QBs ahead of him.

And this is your problem. You've built a straw man about how opportunity happens. Setting aside Zach Mettenburger and Trevor Siemian being at least two examples that meet your criteria I've not been pushing beating out a starter from the practice field. I have over and over stated a backup anybody (literally anybody, not just Dobbs) is never going to get a shot without putting themselves into a position to do so. Josh has struggled to maintain such a position. It's simply a fact.

He's actually in as good a position now as he's been in a long time. So much so it's possible it might not even require injury to see the field.

We also saw the Redwoods and to me they were more impressive. Was part of a 2 week, 10,000 mile trip when I was 18. What a trip!!

Really want to take the family out there someday!
We drove up the PCH and went to Muir Woods, so we saw a few coastal Redwoods also. IMO the giant Sequoias were more impressive because of their sheer huge volume...but that is just from what I saw.

In truth they are both beautiful awe inspiring creatures..so it is debating small differences.

Most realistic portal targets:
Marshawn Lloyd
John Campbell
Dont’e Thornton
Davon Sears
Jake Robert’s
-AP
I'd have to assume if those were going to happen, they'd have happened by now. I don't think we'll pull the trigger again....if at all...until after the bowl season. Maybe save one or two until after spring ball.
